Bush program extended beyond domestic wiretapping
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. They were talking about today on NPR radio. Anyone remember when Alberto Gonzalez went to John Ashcroft while he was in the hospital, very sick, so he could get him to override a decision banned warrantless wiretapping. Then at his congressional hearing, Gonzalez famously repeated, "I don't remember!"

| Report: Bush program extended beyond wiretapping WASHINGTON The Bush administration authorized secret surveillance activities that still have not been made public, according to a new government report that questions the legal basis for the unprecedented anti-terrorism program. It's unclear how much valuable intelligence was yielded by the surveillance program started after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, according to the unclassified summary of reports by five inspectors general. The reports mandated by Congress last year were delivered to lawmakers Friday. President George W. Bush authorized other secret intelligence activities which have yet to become public even as he was launching the massive warrentless wiretapping program, the summary said. It describes the entire program as the "President's Surveillance Program." |

Haven't been touched on our soil since then, so you fucking know its working!

| that was an act of Congress. you must stop failing at this grasshopper. |

Just one good reason they will not reveal what is going on behind the scenes. It's a huge can of worms. Well beyond domestic wiretapping is fukin correct, give yourself a pat on the back for once Kryptoshit.

I'm sure that if they aren't 'specifically' water-boarding for information, they're using SOME form of pseudo-torture to obtain information. Obama, he's a long-legged mack-daddy, and he ain't stupid. |

Personally I'm all for the torture, to be honest.
I just think its stupid to make such broad accusations, that Obama has completely stopped torture, with no actual proof.
