what can i say this guy gets better and better every time he makes a new track or remix the guy is a pure jenius the french trance master if u love the uplifting sound what i do u sure should to love this




love to know what u think and love to know whta u think of this remix he has done of Chicane - Offshore very fresh first played at Luminosity Beach a week ago

was lucky enough to of been at the luminosity beach party, and i'd say he prob played the best set of the weekend, definately a fan of his

Does it take a genius to make two tracks that sound exactly like everything else in the genre sounds and has been sounding like for years? I mean, this stuff is SOOOO plastic, tired, derivative, formulaic, boring, unadventurous and utterly unremarkable one could believe it's meant to be parodical.

i dont listen to trance anymore. when i, by accident, heard ferry tayle's 'L'Acrobat' on ASOT on the dutch radio in the ether, i was surprised. it was pretty nice. so i did a small background check on his sound.

I've heard a few Ferry Tales production.
I personally think they all sound very generic and there is nothing that makes me go "wow this is outstanding". And there is nothing that will make me come back to his tracks in 1 year.

The problem is that it sounds like any other of those zillion producer that produce stuff for ASOT.

On topic:

I like the first track especially the melody which is a bit in the background. Nice chords too.
Breakdown maybe is a bit long. Actually the part before the breakdown I like most. Sounds a lot like Matt Darey Liberation - Fly like An Angel, guess that's why I like it that much.

I bet we're gonna hear that Offshore remix a lot. Nice it still has the Chicane atmosphere.

How did i hijack anything? Everything i said relates to this thread, you moron. I did not slate any people for showing interest in Ferry Tayle.

I listened to the track, I found it very "Meh". I'd still dance to it if I heard it at a party, but it wouldnt be one of those "omfg I die" moments.

and im not saying that as your general asot hater person, I saw gareth emery and rank1 a few weeks ago and has an awesome time and they played plenty of trancey goodness.

Watch somebody pull up one of their recent tracklists and point out the ferry tale track in it, then I'll stfu and blame it on me being drunk at the time.

I struggle to think of a way to make a modern day memorable epic trancer, I mean I still love the supersaws and breakdowns and stuff, but is there really anything special about epic left that hasn't already been explored and milked dry? I guess the "neo trance" thing was interesting for about a month before we got bored of the microfication aesthetic that was being applied to everything. I like the possibility of a more savage, primitive sounding epic trancer, but that is being pretty thoroughly milked by a lot of the psy department these days, philosomatika is pounding this sort of epic psy sound at the moment.

it is really hard to think of what can be done to turn epic trance into something special and interesting again. If I had to pick a route though, I'd say somewhere in the savage primative direction, the stuff is sounding a little too tame. I like to feel like an ape when im dancing like an idiot.

I wouldn't know, i rarely post in threads i'm not interested in. I don't know what "dominating" a thread means anyway. You make it sound like i've stolen someones land or something.

I didn't use any cheap jibes, at all. I didn't ruin any discussion because there was no discussion there to ruin. A bunch of guys agreeing with each other is not a discussion. If anything i started a discussion by introducing another point of view, which seems to be what you're so aggravated about.

tbh with u guys a site like tranceaddict should be a place where people share a similar interest but that doesnt seem to happen much, so i guess i cant get my head rnd why people that trash talk bout trance bother using this site.

yeh it does bother me when people make shitty comments, cause i joined this site to interact with like minded people and to share a passion but theres more negativity then positive about

Try to get your head around this: liking trance does not mean liking ALL trance, ALL producers of trance music and EVERY single trance track ever created. In my opinion the tracks presented in this thread are an example of really bad trance music, i say that only because i have a reference point in what i think is good trance music. I don't need to like this fairy tale guy in order to like any of my favorite trance artists. Do you understand this, or exactly how thick are you?
