Twakt with Tim Green/ TG @ Cenci, Atlanta, GA August 8, 2009

*Flyer and more info coming soon*

About Tim Green / TG:

Over the past 18 months, few names have had the kind of impact on the worlds house and techno scenes as 24 year old Tim Green from London. Tims production talents have seen him release music through some of the worlds most respected labels, and gaining major plaudits from the likes of Ritchie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Pete Tong, Tiga, Carl Cox, Locodice, Nic Fanciulli, Dubfire, Steve Lawler, Tiefschwarz, Laurent Garnier, MANDY, Lee Burridge to name a few. Add to that a string of high profile remixes and dj gigs across the globe and its not hard to see why so many people are talking about Tim as a future star.
Tims ascendancy to the spotlight started in 2006 when he released singles under the name TG for such renowned labels such as FourTwenty, Infant & Fling, and even getting remixed by the likes of Martin Buttrich, Jamie Jones & Konrad Black. Fast forward to the beginning of 2008 Tim took the decision to start recording under his own name, as well as TG. The fruits of his production stints were some of the most interesting and forward thinking music on the planet. Tim promptly signed music to huge labels like Claude Von Strokes Dirtbird imprint, Renaissance in the UK, and his massive track Mr. Dry was signed by Trapez in Germany. From here things started to go crazy for Tim. He embarked on a slew of high profile remixes for the likes of Cr2 records, Southern Fried, Fling, Phoebic & Viva. As well as 2 huge remixes, firstly Steve Lawlers 21st Century Ketchup single on Dubfires Sci-Tec as well as The Audio Bullys latest single Flickery Vision. Again these mixes became a staple diet in many of the worlds top djs record boxes for most of the year. Tim was nominated as Beast breakthrough producer of 2008 in DJ Magazine, and named a Player Of The Year in IDJ Magazine.

Fast forward to 2009 and Tim has more new music coming out on Dirtybird & Renaissance, as well as a collaboration with good friend Emerson Todd being signed to legendary Cocoon recordings. The rise of Tim Green has also seen him play in every corner of the globe over the past 2 years. Australia, Brazil, USA, Japan, Germany etc, playing some of the best clubs on the planet, like Fabric, The End, Circus, Watergate, The Weekend Club, Studio 80 and Womb. Tims understanding of the dancefloor has meant he is able to construct spellbinding sets that cover many genres and sounds, and really rock the club, which has lead to a packed dj schedule! Get ready to see Tims name on a flyer near you

not at all. It was a joke out of Miami during Conference. In fact Marti thought she made it up talking to Steve Bug lol. Not sure who you are but obviously you don't know us. If it really is slang for meth we would have to reconsider using the word. It's Just somethng fun.

you can tell by the music we bring. The meth heads love 124bpm. When i looked up twakt I couldn't find anything. The spelling you are thinking of is twacked. Very different.

So are you saying every word on that list that refers to meth is off limits? So Did you call out liquified when they called their party "Swerve"? How about Amp? I've heard that one for a party name.

I appreciate the concern, but my guess is you have never or will never come to one of our parties! So it's all good.

Thanks!!!

Posted by ZeeRobot1 on Jul-17-2009 13:20:

lol swerve can be used many different ways bro

twakt and twacked said the same so when word of mouth travels and they dont see how its "spelled so uniquely" whats going to come to mind ?

but your right enjoy your parties lol.

Posted by Demoted on Jul-17-2009 15:12:

Really, you're not going to come because it's called "twakt"?

Sorry, but that's gotta be one of the weakest reasons I've ever heard.

c'mon asot1 :/

Posted by Seppuku on Jul-17-2009 15:34:

lol asot1, that explains alot. You're one to talk about poor name choice.

Anyways, meth > asot.

I've never met 'em, but their parties are sick. Dunno if I'm making this one.

I might have to go buy out a Walgreens from all of the sudafed there and warm up my shalay.

We need to make sure we meet you next party you make.

I'm still laughing at Walgreens.

It's pretty sweet. we will have two rooms of sound. The upstairs lounge. I have some ideas of doing some different kinds of music and allowing some upstarts get a shot at playing out.

Then there is the downstairs. I'm calling it the techno den. There is a stage and a DJ booth on opposite ends of the dance floor. It's not the fanciest of spaces, but you walk in and think Techno! It's very cool. We'll be able to add to the decor. Hopefully the parties go well there and we can create different types of atmospheres at our each party.

Nice, sounds cool, looking forward to it.

Posted by Seppuku on Jul-24-2009 22:49:

I remember going to Cenci ever now and then on Tuesdays a while back, but I had no idea it had more than one floor. So my only experience is the entrance/street level, which was small, but it looked nice inside. A cool little place, despite being in East Atlanta. Looking forward to seeing how the parties turn out.
