It might not be fair to compare Giuseppe to Nu NRG. Nu NRG was something really special IMO. I like his older sound when it still sounded like Nu NRG. Tracks like
Linking People,
Until Monday,
Reload,
Clambake,
Thermophile
Unplugged
Beyond Your Thoughts
Dave202 - Inside Outside (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix),
Follow Me (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix)
Shadowrider - Blue Horizon (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix)

Where good but stuff like No More Alone, Far Away, Detournement, Supernature (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix) werent anything special that I had come to expect from Giuseppe. He is talented and I loved seeing him & Andrea Ribeca in NYC. Hope his album will be great.

^^^ no still unreleased. he just released a breakbeat track called "life gate" its really good but short 3:24 i wish for an extended version.

The spark died when Nu-Nrg disbanded.

I think he lost his spark after these. Everything made after those are boring to me which is sad because I really enjoyed those tracks.

Through Your Eyes, The New World remix, No More Alone - great tracks. Ottaviani's good!

Posted by limin_li on Jul-18-2009 07:51:

Anyone heard his remix of Forbidden Fruit?

Posted by matviscafcb on Jul-18-2009 08:15:

Through your eyes ftw ! it's a massive tune

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Jul-18-2009 08:23:

boring since nu nrg

Posted by AKIANTX on Jul-18-2009 08:57:

I like Ottaviani's music, but not so much than Paul Van Dyk's

Posted by THE_Chris on Jul-18-2009 09:02:

Nu NRG were a great group and put out some good tracks. When they broke up, Giuseppe did ok with Linking People, but since then is churning out nothing but utterly forgettable shite.

Posted by phant0m on Jul-18-2009 11:01:

I think some of you are too strict with him. Not a single artist releases tracks that will fit everyone's taste, they have their ups and downs. Ottaviani surely has, but Nu NRG also had. I liked Giusseppe Ottaviani as a part of this duo more, too, but as a single artist he is still one of the few trance artist that have the potential to come with something interesting. He's also free from that 'italo' sound which appeared in some of Nu NRG's tracks.

BTW it's strange that so far nobady has mentioned "White Lady" .

Giuseppe remix of PvD - Forbidden Fruit is also amazing...trully on form at moment.

Posted by Ian on Jul-18-2009 11:29:

I'm one of the few who think that even half of the nu-nrg stuff wasn't great. It lacked a good beefy kick mostly, dreamland being an exception for the rule in that instance. Through your eyes was ok and a couple more nu-nrg things were but it lacked balance imo.

Posted by trancedanne on Jul-18-2009 12:15:

yeah i never understood the hype with Nu-nrg either, but dreamland was amazing and their remix of Sunday Afternoon as well

Posted by Nik Novo on Jul-18-2009 13:10:

Nu Nrg was always that great combination between energetic, driving beats (Ribeca) und melody (Ottaviani). When I listen to Ottaviani stuff I'm always missing that Nu Nrg energy

<3 Nu-NRG, you werent the only one upset about that!

Met Giuseppe and saw him perform at Love a few months ago. It was a great show and he is a sweety pie
