How much money do you spend on music?

There are so many new releases coming out all the time and so many labels and artists, and yet so many people here manage to buy a ton of new (and old) stuff all the time. I'm curious as to how much most people spend, so...

How much money do you spend on music every month, on average? (This includes File's, CD's, Vinyl's, [Cassettes?], etc)

Personally I spend probably about $300 every month, and that's mostly because of the price of old vinyl's in mint/near-mint condition.

When I had some additional money on the side, probably somewhere between 65 to 100 dollars a month, mainly on digital downloads, with the occasional mixed/unmixed compilation album at my local music store (which I would pretty much only buy if a used copy was on hand).

I would love to spend more, as my ever-growing wants list is becoming more and more of a depressing sight, but I'm afraid I'm rather poor right now.

100-200 per month.. for vinyl and cds, and i dont feel ashamed because it's worthwhile

Posted by SuspicionVandit on Jul-18-2009 08:51:

about 80 bucks a month, and its increasing every month.

Posted by AKIANTX on Jul-18-2009 08:51:

about 100 euros per month

it varies due to what I can afford to and what is available to buy too. Some months a load of stuff gets released that is worth picking up, other months it's a task finding one or two worth getting.

Somewhere between $200 and $250 a month, all digital downloads. I do try to check which site has the tracks I want at the lowest price.

200-1000 euros

Usually in the region of 100 to 200 pounds. When I was buying loads of vinyl I could spend that easily on one trip to the record store.

100-150 $ // 25-40 tracks on BP.

ive bought two CDs this year and they werent like more than 10EUR

* The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die
* Daft Punk - Alive 2007

id buy alot more if stuff if where more avaliable.

ive also bought two or three albums on mp3 (The Diaphanoids to name one) and the whole avaliable discog from Chris Cowie

I actualy dont like to buy mp3, id rather buy the CD and import it to my PC, which CD would be more avaliable here again. Buying singles on mp3 (or CDs for that case) is not an option.

to compare ive probably used around 6000EUR on vinyl between 2002-2006

In my experience they're generally crap.

Between 0-500 ($0-700) a month, depending entirely on how much i can afford and how much i have time to scavenge the shops for cd/12"/wav.

Well I'll be honest, I delete more tracks than I keep. I will def give you that, but I am with A LOT of them and pretty much all the major labels so I have a great selection to choose from and they are still unreleased when they hit my inbox so I can't really complain much.
