Kaito aka Hiroshi Watanabe (what genre?)

Hiroshi Watanabe - Get it By your Hands
Kaito - Holding A Baby
Yagya - Rigning Nu
Yagya - Rigning 6
Deep house
i usually call it japanese techno due to the prevalance of japanese artists that produce this style
looove hiroshi's stuff.
check out his Genesis album. amazing.
there's a bunch of artists (pretty much all japanese) that produce really unique spaced out techno like this and its so awesome.
nice call on Yagya, gonna pick up some of that
Deep House (Except for the second one).
Nice find man, I'm gonna go buy some of their stuff. I adore those ethereal pads they use in deep house.
great find
will definitely look this stuff, just hope it won't be too hard to find.
Sweet baby Jesus....this is amazing
Not on BP though. Have to track it down somewhere!
Sadly I can't find the original of Point Of Life on BP either, only the remix.
Nobody Could Be Alone is on there though. Guy has some damn nice music ![]()
EDIT - Found it! It's under the Project 32 alias.
Yagya is mostly dub techno and ambient. Those two tracks are from his latest album Rigning wich is excellent.
I STILL listen to Hiroshi's "Nite System" alias
A side is massive techy NY style hard house: http://www.discogs.com/Nite-System-.../release/149429
This guy is dope, he's a graduate from berklee.
I haven't seen that name since the early days of beatmania.
Very melodic techno bordering on deep house. I love the "Genesis" album, it's so good!
brilliant...
I've heard just two albums by Hiroshi Watanabe (both of his dance albums released under Kaito moniker), and I plan to give Genesis a chance (although by the samples it sounds very similar to Kaito material). As for the genre, as some already said, it's a quite unique mixture of deep melodic techno and techy house, that sometimes inclines towards trance (proof: Intension off Special Life). It's interesting that when neo-trance label appeared, Kaito was one of the few names that were always seen as a leaders of that new movement.
And Yagya sounds like first Gas album, he's quite overrated (although still very good).
I'm not really a big fan of Kaito, most of his stuff is rather boring IMO, but that Yagya fellow sure can make decent music. I sampled the whole rigning album and it sounds absolutely brilliant!

Thanks to the recent ID Contest i've discovered the Hiroshi Watanabe Remix of Way Out West "Don't Forget Me".
beautiful.
my favorite kaito record is 'soul of heart'
im also a fan of yagya. a couple tracks are in one of my mixes from the winter, and i have most of his discography.
Massive fan of Hiroshi Watanabe / Kaito.
The Japanese deep tech house sound has really taken off these last couple of years and I hope we get to hear more.
Kaito has a new album coming out in a few weeks called "TRUST".
And for those who are new to Kaito, have a listen to "A Moment for the Life" - a nice introduction to most of his known works in a set mixed by the man himself.
Always liked what I had heard from him, most recently he had an EP on Kompakt a year or two ago. Yagya is good stuff too.
