T9 appreciation thread

Been using it for over a year now and it makes texting so much easier and faster.

Fuck that, I'd rather have a full sized keyboard kthx.

Usually people that say "fuck that" don't even know how to use t9 properly lol.

Of course I do, I used T9 all throughout high school, and was lightning fast at texting with it, but when I got a phone with a full-size keyboard, I quickly realized that it was better when you didnt' have to make exceptions in the T9 programming for Names, Locations, and everything else. You assume too much.

so I've used the T9 too. I prefer typing every letter separately.

T9 is the worst piece of software for the cellphone. Most basic words are not in it, and it doesn't remember them sometimes if I put them there.

I like T9 the way I like my women: small, smart, and I just realised the analogy makes no sense whatsoever

I like it anyway.

it took me awhile to figure out WTF t9 was. and i kept on trying to figure out how to say "no" because it would always default to "on". then one day on accident i pressed the down arrow and i was like, "so that's how you do it!"

I was the same way. I couldn't figure it out and then when I did I was like "fuck, this is so much easier than typing every letter separately".





I can't believe people still even do that. If you have a QWERTY phone then whatever, but seriously, t9 is fucking great.

Once you go qwerty you can never go back to alphanumeric.

how big are those screens/letters? how accurate is it when you are typing on the screen with your fingers?

my fingers aren't that big; but i'd assume that i'd still hit the wrong key(s). i do it enough on my regular samsung w/ t9 sometimes (hitting zero instead of eight)

What I find annoying with qwerty is that no matter how awesome it is, I still have to look at the phone to text so it makes it near impossible to text while driving safely. With t9 I could memorize everything and literally not have to look at the phone while driving.

That was the awesome part, I loved that. I could literally never look at the phone while i was driving and send perfectly readable/legible text messages.

Maybe its just me, but i have no problem texting blind on my E71. My text come ove just as clear as when i was still using a phone with an alphanumeric keypad (and no t9). of course, not that i do much texting while driving Thats what the handsfree kits are for

you guys are all lazy assholes.

i can txt faster than you guys with my numeric keyboard. and i'll actually get to swear.

I was all about T9 when i had alphanumeric, but now i cant imagine without a full qwerty, and gimme buttons bitch, not that stupid touchscreen, I dont know anyone who writes accurately with that.

I actually sort of liked T9 better than my Palm Treos qwerty keyboard, its easier to type one handed while driving (not that you should do that!)

i use the keyboard now & when i want ill close my fone and use the T9 on my screen. but i remember when i had my razr, i was invincible with T9
