what do u think of it your thoughts plz

A bit typical Emery sounding, but definitely not bad.

Posted by Zak McKracken on Jul-19-2009 15:05:

whats the point? it doesnt add anything compared to the original. only thing is the sidechained fart bass which i hate anyway. bad remix of an awesome original track which should be left alone.

last good thing Gareth Emery made was Formentara What imo.

It was a bit hard for me to be objective because M.I.K.E. is one of my favourite producers and I also like Gareth's sound. But it is definitely pointless and I don't like it. As mentioned it's now got some annoyingly unnecessary sidechain in it and he also seemed to strip all the energy out of the original. Boo from me.

Pointlessness defined.

Posted by hasbone on Jul-19-2009 15:32:

would rather hear the original

pointless indeed

Posted by daphunky1 on Jul-19-2009 16:44:

yep pointless. I feel like big dj's feel too insecure or something to just bring back a classic for the season, or a couple months or whatever, so they feel they need to make some "rework/remix/update" to seem legit in the fast paced world of edm tunes. Too bad really.

Posted by Subtle on Jul-19-2009 16:58:

He has remixed the tune into his own sound, personally i dont see anything wrong with that.

Posted by SPANIARD on Jul-19-2009 17:01:

I'll admit I've heard worse re-makes, but alot of these producers need to realise that remixing an old trance with today's style is often times as bad (or worse) than creating a new track and blending in other trendy styles (like minimal, tech house, electro).

Posted by Meat187 on Jul-19-2009 17:04:

It would be pointless if I also pointed out that this is pointless.

+1

seems to be a growing trend.

Posted by junkproject on Jul-19-2009 18:22:

original is a lot better than that remix.

Posted by RebeL9 on Jul-19-2009 18:55:

the original is one of my favourite MIKE tunes. This remix was totally pointless. But I guess it's also a product of it's time. This would never had been released a couple of years ago. But since it's the era of digital downloads producers can remake any tune for web stores. The administrational costs for the labels are minimal and no money are spent on pressing.

Im really into Emery's sound, sounds great imo

still spinning it today.

this rmx is too cheesey imo, the break melody sound stinks from a mile away, must've done a better job with it

yea i agree with you
these pointless remakes to me is one of the factors that is killing trance...seems like every few weeks theres a new remake of an old song

as for this remix i will say its deff not that bad, but the original is deff where its at...
20 years down the road and the song will still be timeless

brilliant remix, original is classic but old now and this brings it nicely up to date

Posted by Thierry on Jul-20-2009 04:07:

I loved the original and am loving this mix!

There is nothing wrong with it, but when someones set is all their own productions/remakes it's boring. Also when they make them and they get relesed for money it's annoying too. Fine, make it for your own sets but leave it at that.

trance ran out of creative ideas a long time ago.
hence why you get all these new remixes of classics, because the producers can't think of anything original enough to put their mark on

doesn't help that the herd of sheep that is most of trance fans can't differentiate between the repetitive crap that's being pounded
