Was the lunar landing fake?

Do you think the lunar landings are fake? I always thought they were real but then I began to research it and found some interesting things.

Posted by Krypton on Jul-20-2009 04:09:

Yea, they were 100% real. So you think the US government was spending $3 billion per Apollo launch, just for shits n giggles? We have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks and there is a mirror which the McDonald observatory uses to send a laser beam at, and measure the distance of the moon. How do you think that mirror got on the moon? I think anyone who questions the moon landings are fucking idiots.

Posted by Damerchi on Jul-20-2009 08:20:

don't you see? there is no moon at all! It is an illusion created by using simple smoke and mirror techniques, a tradition that has been passed down by the freemasons throughout the period of recorded history. dig a little deeper and you will be further enlightened.

Googling conspiracy theories is not research.

It is funny though

My favourite is the 'Flat Earth' people.

Those are fun, we should import some of them. The "OMG 9/11 was so done by the Government, you are fucking blind and stupid if you dont see that" trolls are getting quite old by now. We need some new distractions.

Wow...old conspiracy is old....

Yeah, we should never be questioning anything, its better to be spoon-fed for everything and keep a closed mind. Those politicians are fucking geniuses and are always fucking right and nothing to worry about.

There's a difference between questioning a stimulus bill or health care reform program than questioning multiple billion dollar Space projects, using born-and-bred Americans, coming back with more than enough photographic, physical and video evidence to prove that a lunar landing took place. I can't believe after all these years, people still think it was done in some Hollywood basement.

There is a difference between legitimate skepticism and being a fucking idiot.

Indeed. But I like that about Magny: I was personally amused to find out that, while I was away (and without my moderating privileges), I was supposed to have edited someone's signature

I don't think he's an idiot, by the way.

By the way, with regards to the topic - I dont have an official view, not at this moment at least.

I dont think that Moon landing was as important as it was hyped to be. Soviets won the space contest anyway, in my opinion.

But I dont think its appropriate to label as retards those people who believe that moon landing was faked. Its a matter of opinion, not a scientific prognosis.

So landing a man on the moon isn't important? The Soviets won? By my recollection, they never landed a man on the moon.

I do. It's on par with holocaust denial. They are idiots of the highest order.

There is little science behind the faked Moon landing. Recently they have even shown satellite photos of the landing site on BBC News. The only dispute is the very-doctored looking photos and videos. Those are questionable, but to me the faked debate is not important right now.

Sooner or later it will make sense - if Americans won't be able to land humans on the Moon as viewed by the entire world with 21st century technology, we'd know. For now we should just sit and wait until the next nation successfully lands people on the Moon.

How can you put Holocaust denial and Moon Landing Faked together in the same basket? LOL ...

You are crazy. Might as well label those who think that Moon landing as faked as Hitler lovers and Holocaust deniers, too.

There's nothing important about stepping on the Moon - there's nothing there. Soviets were first to step into space. First to have craft land on another space body. First to have to woman in space. Longest time in space, longest and most successful space station by far, MIR (to the day the biggest influence to the current international station) - and most importantly, the Russian Soyuz technology is more effective and more successful than the shuttle technology (the latter will soon be put in garbage). Soyuz capsules have been sending men and women into space and back since 1960's, for a small fraction of the cost and greater safety.

The reason why Americans think they won the space race is because they needed a morale booster after already losing to the Soviets in space. So they made the public believe that landing on the Moon is considered as winning the space race - which hardly ended. There's absolutely nothing there, apart from a future tourist destination for a good view of Earth from space.

I am not defending the Soviets as I hated the regime, but I got to say that landing on the Moon is totally insignificant. Americans didnt even establish a base, didnt mine any minerals, didnt do anything other than jump around, collect a few pebbles, pay billions for the hole thing, and then leave until further notice. How retarded is that?

A win would be setting up something serious, like a space station, or landing people on another planet.

EDIT: The official language of space is Russian, BTW.

I don't believe any of those things happened. It's my opinion

If David Copperfield made a Statue of Liberty disappear, so can you.

Mythbusters dud the whole show on the "faked moon landing" myth. And if Jamie and Adam prooved that the the moonlanding was true, thats good enough for me.

Because denying reality makes you a fucking retard. Or insane. You choose.

You can if you want. All I said was denying the moon landings is ON PAR with holocaust denial. There is a difference.
