Similar to System F?
Hi all,
I have been pretty much out of good tunes for 2 years and have listened to alot of online demos... hundreds maybe even thousands looking for some good tunes like the older days when i used to feel buzzing.
I borrowed an old CD from a friend and had it on, it contained these tracks:
Together = System F
Out of the Blue = System F
Ignition, Sequence, Start! = System F
Exhale = System F
Ignition, Sequence, Start! is probably one of the best tunes i have heard for 3 years when it comes to trance.
I know System F is Ferry Corsten but Ferry Corsten does not seem to have many tunes like those ones these days. I liked Gouryella tunes too.
What type of trance would you call those System F tunes and if i like them, do you know of any other tunes i might enjoy?
Cheers,
System F = Epic/Uplifting trance.
you might like some of these tracks Ferry Corsten used to play when he was hammering this sorta sound back then.
Plastic Angel - Pascale (Plastic Angel remix)
Blank & Jones - The Nightfly (Original) *Ferry played the transa remix, but I like the original much better*
Luis Paris - Incantation (Original mix)
lolol omg pure comdey
The only thing I know that is similar to System F is dying.
Thanks for your suggestions mate.
Another 2 children to add to the ignore queue though

2 users who hasnt even been here for 1 year is hijacking the thread with their retardation, nice going
Any track and remixes by Armin, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten in the period 1999-2004
Any track by Don Quixote.
I know this stuff is going back a bit, i did used to have a nice collection of tunes on the go. Most of them were from between 98-2005 then things kind of moved on.
I missed system F during that time which is why i was glad to find it again. Its maybe old skool or unpopular but dates and artists and what "in" is no real concern of mine, especially how "whats in" for the past couple of years has not really been anything to write home about for me.
Im checking out uplifting/epic stuff now. Is it safe to say that these genres are pretty much over these days?
Cheers everyone.
Vincent de Moor
I beleive Ferry and Tiesto were Veracocha, so go for Carte Blanche - my all time favorite 'trance' track.

Oh yeah!
Anyway, I always thought that Carte Blanche had EXACLTY the same beat as Urban Train, so I always link them like that.
Ignore the haters, System F is fucking amazing. Ferry Corsten was brilliant back in the day.
I'd think:
Dumonde
Vectrex - Meteor (Club Mix)
Daydreamer - Daydreamer (Fridge vs. Vectrex Remix)
Vengaboys - Kiss (When The Sun Don't Shine) (Airscape Remix)
Steve Morley - Reincarnations (Dumonde Remix)
Sonic Inc - The Taste Of Summer (Fire & Ice Vital Remix)
Air - Albion (& remixes)
Dumonde - Tommorrow (DeLeon & JamX's remix)
Dumonde - Never look back (original mix)
Like a few other people have said, try and download a few sets or have a look at the tracklistings from Armin and Ferry around 1999 - 2003.
Without looking at my itunes.. I'm sure there was a good one from Gatecrasher and Aria.
Ferry is a great producer, created some great tracks back in the day and also under his alias's.
Also check Ferry's Trance Nation cd's: http://www.discogs.com/search?type=...erry&btn=Search

Ayumi hamasaki - Whatever (system f remix)
East West - Love I lost
System F - Cry (DoTNL remix)
Uplifting system-f trance choonage.
Thanks for your suggestions everyone.
Ill be sure to check out these tunes this afternoon when i have some time.
Feel free to keep the suggestions coming, i had an feeling that many replies would relate to the same late 90s/early 00s, 7 years of enjoying trance has pretty much all come from this period and so in many ways this might be the final pass i have to find music in the genre i enjoy most.
Its pretty sobering to think that once i kill all these tunes (from playtime) then there is nothin really to replace it with.
When it comes to trance, what happened? Sorry if im ignorant, did it just move on? It just seems that for 4-5 years there was incredible tunes out there, proper classics like binary finary, nightmare and many more i cant even remember, but then it seems a line was drawn, trance seemed to split into 1000 genres; almost all of them shit.
Dont get me wrong, id love nothing more than to keep finding great tunes.... more importantly modern tunes but dispite my efforts, material is thin on the ground.
