California
Ah, what's going on in this state?
IOU's instead of tax rebates?
Are government pay obligations still being met?
Are there other states that are in the same boat? I seem to remember reading that a bunch of them were really getting squeezed between deficits and decreasing income from taxation.
The latest today is that they have supposedly hammered out a resolution that is going to involve some pretty draconian cuts to education, welfare, law enforcement, etc., etc., etc...
Scientology is based in Cali right? First order of bussines, revoke their tax-exampt status. But dont end there, thats just a start. Seriously, even though its a new tax and I know you americans are wery against that, woudnt it be a lesser evil compared to drastic cuts in education and law enforcement?
yeah i filed my taxes late and got an IOU as my tax rebate

(joke being no work in canada for me other than free funds from the govt.) But no I'm the person who is trying to move to cali to collect welfare yet can't even enter the US to give away cupons for toiletpaper at cost to myself. The State budget directly has to do with tax rate and operations costs - and lack of income generating state ventures - due to private companies running essential services such as electricity in California. Its capitalism... Those who make the money - can keep it. (even though calis tax rate with municipal and federal taxes is already huge) #1 for business. Is it only republican states running deficits???? |
...speaking of rhetoric...
