Angry tisk tisk tisk

gentlemen....gentlemen...i strongly suggest you actually listen to D:fuse before bashing him so. the man, to my knowledge, does not spin psy-trance. i saw him back in '99, in a nice little club in austin tx. he was amazing, precision mixing and quality tracks. just check out his new studio mixes, psychotrance 2001 [no, the name does not imply psy-trance], and d:fuse - the progressive mix session. by the way, just what exactly is psych-trance?

d:fuse

I like him and I think he spins pretty good stuff, but everyone has an opinion.
Pys-Trance 2000 and 2001 are good. (I think I speeled it wrong though).

d:fuse is tha mother fuckin' bomb!

every set that i've seen from him was off da hook. just as good as any set i've seen. his set at airport 2 was amazing. fuck cd bullshit, live sets should be how dj's are evaluated(my opinion). he's definitly my favorite texas dj and one of my favorites overall.

Posted by DJ Guangzhou on Mar-31-2001 19:12:

lexicon, i have seen d:fuse twice. i was thouroughly bored twice. please dont assume i make comments on djs if i have never seen them. everyone else on this board seems to do just that, but i judge someone only on events i have witnessed live. my judgement still stands. d:fuse blows. i also respect any opinion that states otherwise. i hope you would do the same.

thanks texans..

i'll check out his live set's. i've heard some of his work, it ain't bad , so i'm interested in finding mo'. thanx yall

The Psychotrance series is NOT psy-trance or goa-trance... It is Hard Trance... so don't get them mixed up.

I'm quite sure d:fuse DOES NOT spin psy-trance or goa-trance.

This is what it says in his bio on the moonshine records site:

"Welcome to an arena of pure poetic energy and rhythm. An arena where spiritual tones meet driving beats to form a journey into progressive house, trance, techno and trance break."

Sal.

seen him live twice. i would define both sets as psy-trance. i dont give a shit what his bio says. again, based on PERSONAL experience he spins psy. and i also would not classify his new Psychotrance 2001 CD as hard trance.

Shame / Disagreement

I must disagree... When I saw D:fuse in Detroit last Thanksgiving, he blew the roof off the place... I personally think he's very good, but if you don't, well then I guess that's your opinion, and anything I say won't change it. BTW, Phsychotrance 2001 isn't quite as hard as 2000... so I agree with you there!!

Posted by lexiconavenue on Apr-03-2001 00:20:

no, d:fuse does not spin psy-trance as of this date [to my knowledge]. his pyschotrance 2001 mix cd is progressive, not hard. when i saw him live, he was spinning progressive, and that was almost 2 years ago. i still believe he is an excellent progressive dj.

I am not going to argue with you Lexicon, but both times I saw him he spun psy. Perhaps he chose to do that because on both occasions he openned for a prog dj?

not trying to argue w/ you guan...just saying that the time i saw him spin, all the articles & reviews i read about him, and the studio mixes he's released, in no way, reflect or have any noticeable relation to psy-trance. im sure if he does spin psy like you say he does, he's off the hook [thats my opinion]. i totally respect your opinion, as i do everyone elses on this board.

Lexi
