I'm sure it's the same thing but mine had a longer link. They took down the counter for how many tickets there were at each price.
Last year I paid $83 each for tickets. So I bought mine already this year.

never been to this party or location...are the vip tix worth it? (prolly not, considering only three drinks, so the only thing really worth it is the extra wandering space, but let me know.)

I want to know too!
I have always heard Skills VIP arent that good

In the main room, VIP typically gets you access to the VIP stages on the sides of the main area where the DJ is.

Big plusses:

Each stage usually has its own bar, little to no lines.
I believe each VIP stage has it's own 4-way sound setup right on them. So the sound is great in the VIP area (and you don't jsut hear the soudn reverbing off the walls of the whole room )

Big minus:

Typically has a limited view of the DJ. That said, I actually don't remember how it was the past couple of years.

Lastly:

I dunno the setup of everything so things could be completely different than what I'm saying right now. Just going by what I recall from the past.

always go VIP when you get a chance (even if it sucks). its a way to stay away from the masses.

We had VIP for last year's event...and didn't really utulize it, but nice to have. Definately not a good view of the DJ. But hey, it was VIP!

Getting tix now.

any mention of the lineup?

Posted by Tosh on Jul-24-2009 17:25:

so basicly its not worth it cuz if you wanna get out of the crowd go up stairs and save $100, i'm not the type who cant stand all the people around me. otherwise i would stay home and listen to my music really loud alone. I hate being squished but a huge crowd is fun. last year was great.
I always notice that the VIP area is really far away from the stage. Call those tickets premium tickets and make VIP backstage and stuff like VIP used to mean.

WILL call only? will there be deliverable tickets?????

i'd like to see the lineup before i buy VIP to see if it would even be worth it,
considering last year how the vip wasnt that close to the DJ booth, it just kinda jutted out to the sides if i remember right?

I agree..why sell the tickets early since they havent made any announcement of who is playing? Hopefully this years afterparty will be as awesome as last years..My vote goes for Avb, Ab&B, John O Callaghan, Marcus Schulz, Atb...Any 2-3 of those and it will be a kick ass party again..Hope the sound system will be top notch again..Only thing that could improve that would be a Function One...

Posted by DaveT on Jul-24-2009 21:03:

Uhh, I've seen plenty of events (in other cities) where tickets are sold before the lineup is announced.

Why do people act so shocked lol.

THere are those who don't go for the DJ or the lineup and just want to get tickets...guess those people get to save money!

i hope this is a rhetorical question because the answer is quite obvious.

hey rich, you have any idea which afterparty you'll be going to?

Posted by DaveT on Jul-24-2009 21:13:

I'll try to see abotu the will call.

System is a little confusing. It asks you for your info and to give it a password so you can later print tickets (according to it), but once you go to pay it does say will call with no options.

Don't chop my head off if the answer isn't what you want to hear in the end. lol

listed will have a solid line up and is working on a large-scale venue for the duo/possible trio. deep blue is also working on one of my favorite djs i hope it lands for an epic underground party. then there's always kontrol as a backup. i will probably also hit up the sunset bbq on sunday. ahhh! i can't wait til all the beans are spilled!

Thank you Dave!
hahaha, this makes so much sense! Its for the people who are really excited and are willing to support The party no matter what, and have trust that these specific promoters will follow through with the solid lineup they always do.
If you are excited enough to follow it like we do we deserve tickets at the lower price than all of the people who wait and see fliers getting kicked around on the ground and say, "oh, that dj is a big TECHNO dj, lets buy tickets.
Why complain, buy or dont buy, its just an option. Again, if you dont like the lineup sell the tickets later to someone who will pay you back every penny cuz by then the tickets will be $40 more.
Either way i will be there and be super stoked! WITH MY CHEAP TICKETS

how much were they at the door last year? $90? so basically buy 2 now and then sell one the day of the event and you're in for free.

Eric Prydz Halloween weekend at Ruby Skye has more than doubled the last couple of years and I heard the door price last year was $100!

so buy an extra ticket, its a better investment than the stock market, housing, or online betting!
