Schumacher to come back to F1

Its all over the news. Ferrari said that they might replace M. Schumacher for Massa. Thats crazy! I would love that. Bring him back!

F1 is a lot of fun to watch in person.

It's all over the news that he's not coming back actually I think.

I read that he said he would stand in for Massa until the end of the season (or whenever he returns) but would not consider a comeback.

And he just wrecked his bike and his neck is bothering him, so the Spain GP is out of the question.

Posted by noikeee on Jul-28-2009 20:38:

His spokeswoman said he's considering it, and then his manager said no chance - both reports pretty much at the same time in the media.

its not gonna happen, only a rumour. His manager said he stands by his decision to retire. Marc Gene will probably replace Massa

Too bad. They were never gonna reach the top with their corporate attitude anyway. From that point of view good riddance. I just hope Kubica gets a good seat for next year. Ferrari would be perfect, but my guess is Renault, cause of his previous ties with them, anyway Alonso Kubica lineup is inevitable

Posted by Ian on Jul-29-2009 13:33:

Alonso to ferrari is said to be a done deal

Posted by Lira on Jul-29-2009 14:19:

They should just take Barrichello out instead!

I thought Ferrari was going to take Alonso next year in replace of Raikkonen.

they are. And really, Mclaren should be outing Kovalainen. he's not performed well at all. Maybe a seat for Kubica or someone else there. Also you have to wonder how much longer trulli & fisichella will drive.

I personally think Vettel is a future multiple time world champion. Maybe McLaren should get him. I'm going to watch the Singapore GP live again.

ewwwwwwwwwww. I hate Mclaren. Ron Dennis and their conduct just put me off them forever. I hope vettel & red bull progress enough to make another big team in the title mix.

He's got inconsistent flashes of speed, too early to say.

I'm totally jealous of you wathing the Singapore GP

Yeah, I thought it was all bullshit to be fair, but now it's on BBC sport it must be true!

Posted by Ian on Jul-29-2009 22:09:

he has to pass some fitness tests but I hope he does. F1 needs something like this right now.

Schumacher is my all time favorite driver and everytime I bet on an F1 race, I bet that he would win, but I think his day is done. It's time to let the youngsters shine.

Trulli's still competitive and will be staying for a while as he's been Toyota's best driver this year (altho Glock shone the last race).

Fisi might be retiring at the end of the year, even if he's had quite a few good races in that shitbox. If he leaves, the test driver Liuzzi is almost certain to come in.

this is basically an emergency situation. Ferrari need someone who can do a good job for them for maybe the rest of the season, massa needs to heal properly. Kimmi is lazy so this should be funny to see how well a man with nothing to go for goes against someone who should be fighting every week.

Posted by ivofivo on Jul-30-2009 19:50:

I expect a couple of poles and maybe wins.. But I won't be surprised if Schumi goes off and dominates all 7 races....ya right ...but possible.

Don't ever forget Nigel Ernest James Mansell: if he did it, so can Mike.

bad move by Schumi imo. if he fails to make podiums, it's gonna taint his legacy a bit.
