This Summer's 'Song'?

So which is it?

Last summer it was Castle's in the Sky (Rapture still hotly contested)
The summer before Darude's Sandstorm

- You know they are the songs you hear everywhere and are the most popular (regardless of quality) during the summer.

So looking back in a year from now, what are your predictions?

@Lover Boy: it can't be neither one of those since a summer hit must be a "happy" kind of tune which southern sun & summer calling don't qualify for...

CASTLES CAME OUT 2 SUMMERS AGO.... AND IT SUCKED BACK THEN... This summer... I'll keep my In Search of Sunrise CD busy... always a classic. For new tracks... probably Solar Coaster.

ya as i see it the big hits in terms of airtime for the summer (has nothing to do with quality) have been like this

1999: ATB -9pm (till i come)
2000: Darude - Sandstorm, Delerium - silence (maybe also kernkraft)
2001: Iio - rapture, Ian Van Dahl - castles in the sky

2002: Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun, and still room for one more.

god...just about anything on any ISOS...last summer it was all about ISOS 1 for me and i still haven't worn it out and this summer ISOS 3 is making me so happy....THANK YOU TIESTO!!!!!!

btw...does anyone know of any store online that has ISOS 3 for sale yet? CDNOW DOESN'T and I'm sick of the ripped copy!!!

BTW.... Carrera 2 by Three Drives is stuck on repete for me, so I guess this is one of my favorite summer tracks.

Ya vocals do seem to help a bit in getting you the Summer Song. And admitly they do get fairly annoying after repeatly hearing the same voice for serveral hundred times.

A few good solutions though to prevent such vocals from getting annoying is dropping out of the summer scene, coming to the USA (basically like dropping out) , stop listening to trance, or death.

Well, since the original is shite, it's probably better off to list the best, most recognized remix of it.

If I had my choice, the song of the summer would be either

Cosmos - Take Me With You or Sunset Drive - Does It Really Matter (Instrumental Mix)
