MIA airport

Hi,

I just found out my connection time in Miami is 1 hour and 20 minutes. My flight from LaGuardia arrives at 3:20pm and my flight to Medellin leaves at 4:40pm. I am staying with AA for both flights, but I was wondering if going from the National to the International terminal takes a long time. I certainly don't want to miss my second flight!

Thank you

For international flights departing the US there is no segregation required between domestic and international passengers.

All AA's flights at MIA go from concourses C, D and E which are connected within the airside portion of the airport. If the gate for your departing flight is announced onboard before your LGA-MIA lands check the departure monitors again in the terminal, gates can swap around at hubs.

Coming back you will need to clear immigration, collect bags, clear customs, place your bags on the transit belt and reclear security at MIA.

Have fun on the walk if the arrival gate in Concourse D. I've flown many times from LGA back to MIA and they usually park you all the way at the end. It literally takes a good 15 minutes to exit the concourse at a full-stride walk.
