who's got the worst job? (aka, bitch about work thread, =P)

aight... i think i have one of the worst jobs. here's where i work: dr. green lawn care

- wake up at 5am
- be at the office by 6am
- roll out in the trucks at 7am
- drive to 40 different houses (on average)
- spray, fertilize, and aerate each lawn
- drive back to the office and clean the trucks and equipment

- 50 hour weeks
- lousy boss
- pretty lousy pay
- 11 hours out in the blazing sun
- exposure to potentially poisonour/carcinogenic pesticides
- no more world cup, =(

hahahaha.. that's my gripe for the day... anyone else got a job they wanna bitch about? can't possibly be worse than mine, =P... well... actually, i'll bet there are plenty of worse jobs than mine.. i just wanted to bitch about mine, =P.

i'm grateful for my job though... money's money... whatever.
i'm off to sleep.. gotta wake up in 6 hours to go to work, =P.

GOOO KOREA!

wake up at 1 pm. drink until 4 am. repeat. Life sucks

12 hour days. Outside in the hot.

Im just really rich. I get it from the same source thats funding my drinking spree in Europe for 6 months. Ive been doing this for about 3 years now, it hasnt gotten old . in fact im dunk right now! but im not one of those "rich kids". youd think I was a bum if you saw me on the street. I do fun stuff, but for cheap. 9 bucks for a 24 of milwaukees best ice! Europe is only gonna cost like 5 grand. I live in a fairly affluent area, and I know 5g is a lot to some people, but the avg income round here is like 110. not braggin, just saying people get paid more here for the same shit people get paid for less in other parts yah know. Actually I had started a landscaping and pressure washing company called HydroTool. I only did it for 6 months, but I made some money and had fun. I dunno. I like the entrepenaurial (sorry im drunk so I dodnt spiell it righ ) stuff the best. Id be happy if I had a drift wood shanty, a beach, a girl, a surfboard, and a sunset. Ive been fortunate enough to be able to do some fun stuff. Ill respond more coherently wehne im sober

not doing anything productive since last christmas (wut da fuck), still trying to save myself from the laziness. my first job (back in 1999) was pretty terrible tho.

the setting: a warehouse in scarbourough
the players: workers there

yep that's me 3 years ago, working as a door-to-door solicitor. sold story books, screwdrivers, shampoo, photo albums and all that crap. 19 out of 20 people would reject me, and we had to walk all day. on the first day i walked along kingston road, from victoria park ave to midland or sumthin' like that. quitted after 2 months. the only advantage, tho, was to get to know the city and all kinds of cheap ass out there.

Yeah, my Dad makes *EDIT - Sorry to offend you Orbax *but I don't run around websites telling everybody about how my daddy gives me money to get drunk. I have a landscaping job from 8-6 everyday, I make $10 cash which is nice living in a college town where I have a cheap sublet.

you just had to throw in how much your dad makes? did you know the average millionaire in america makes 60k a year? how do you know I dont make that? Some people are just smart with money. and beer is fucking cheap. Having a dad that pays for beer would make him spend less than buying gas

you said 250k a year. and all I said was that Im rich. Rich means money in the bank, not income. I couldve won the lotto, been a smart investor, or invented something. And like I said at the end of my post, Ive been fortunate. I dont take what we have for granted. if you read the second half of the message, I dont know how you got the bragging part out of it.

Yeah, but starting off a response to the thread 'Who's Got The Worst Job?' with 'I'm just really rich' is a pretty conceited and condescending way to respond. You don't have a shitty job, so there was no need to respond at all.

$12 an hour?!?! Wut the hell?? I used to do the same thing when I was 15 and I got paid LESS than minimum wage. I made something like $5.15 an hour. Now, I have a REAL crappy job. I work in a supermarket. I started as a cashier, but now I run the "selfcheckout" station. I dont know if you've ever seen one. Teaching dumbass customers to use these simple machines has been the biggest nightmare. The machine tells you what to do step by step (touch the screen, scan the groceries, put them in bags, put money in the machine, leave). Of course, people cant follow instructions and they mess up, then they get FURIOUS at the machine, at me, at technology, whatever. I've had a customer throw a tuna sandwich at me...HAHA. Sorry for the rant. But after this experience, I've concluded that most americans are just dumbass illiterate people who have no patients or intelligence whatsoever.

hahaha.. dude.. that's CANADIAN funds... so 12/hr is like 8/hr US funds.... and 5.15 US is like 7.65/hr canadian. that figure is well above our minimum wage, =P.

alright u think ur job sux...i work at price chopper a grocery store doing night shift aka grave digger shift...i make the shittiest pay i work a good 40 hours a week... the only good thing is that i have no boss i can eat whatever the fuck i want in the store...and im allowed to smoke weed in the store..but trust me the work itself is boring and it sux working 10 pm to 9 am so when everyone is partying ur working...when everyone is working ur sleeping..u see nobody! u have NO LIFE!!! IT SUX!! SOMETIMES U JUST WANNA DOWN A BOTTLE OF TYLENOL AND PASS OUT ON THE GROUND GOING INTO CONVULSIONS AND ODING ON SMACK AND CRACK!!!! KILL ME I DONT WANT TO LIVE NO MORE!!!! I ALSO HAVE INSOMNIA!!!!!!AND UR SYSTEM IS SOO FUCKED UP!!!!!
