ill check this outt thx

edit: mehhh...

he doesn't really say much... it's very simple, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but yeah, not sure how useful a studio tour can be if he feels he has to explain what a plugin is..

cool how so many pr0s are putting out these studio sessions lately! always cool to look inside their studios!

Well that was ok. Didn't learn anything but maybe thats not the goal.

Question and no offense, just curiosity.

Why does he call the keyboard a "piece of kit"?

Very interesting and well made video, he uses Cubase as well which makes it all the more interesting.

Its good that he is doing these, hopefully we'll learn more on other vid's, agreed not much content in those terms, but great to see inside his studio. Seems like he'd be a nice person to work with.

So it's normal then, for europeans, ok. Strange, I call it a keyboard or by it's name. Go figure . . .

No its just a general term, some say "gear" meaning keyboard/synth/rack devices it can relate to anything. I havent watched the video properly and didnt see that part but thats my guess.

It's kinda refreshing to see a big-name producer with Behringer gear in his rack. I saw a Virtualizer Pro (very nice FX unit for dirt cheap) in his first synth rack and what looks like an old UltraFex Pro in his second rack.

That makes a lot more sense. Gear=Kit=Gear. Sorry for the confusion.

Dont apologise, every has different words for the same, or ways of describing things.

It seems Steve is switching to Logic:
From his Twitter: "I've crossed over to the other side. MacBook Pro on my lap!"
"Messing with Logic 9. Just a bit to learn, then. This is so different to Cubase. Fcuk!"
"Digging the softsynths that come with Logic. They blow Cubase's clean out of the water!"

I made the same switch 2 years ago after being a Cubase user for 10 years. I have never regretted my decision.

I just switched to logic 5 days ago.. Not going back to cubase again... just got sick of it after so many years now..

No disrespect to Steve, I think he's a great guy and I'm positive these videos will be great in the future, but personally, I think the first two videos have added no production value at all.

The first one was fine, an introduction to his studio etc, that was to be expected, but I was expecting a lot more from the second one.

That aside though, I'm really looking forward to Steve getting into more detail with his production processes .
