Breakdowns
Being new, I'm obviously not sure what the general consensus is on what makes a good trance track, but to me it's all about the emotion and the complexity of the breakdowns. Anyone else feel the same way?
Personally I don't think anyone can currently keep up with Andy Blueman, even his first few releases (Nyctalopia especially) had some incredibly well done breakdowns, and every song he's released since has gotten better and better.
This was released currently, for anyone who's unfamiliar with him. Production-wise it's possibly his best work to date:

Arctic Moon may be the only one who can match Blueman's quality, especially in his remix of Oceania's Never Forget. Oceania and Aly & Fila both make some incredible songs as well, but I don't know many other artists who consistently have high-quality breakdowns in their songs. Anyone have any other good artists like them?
Ferry Corsten
I always thought PvD and BT's breakdowns were some of the best.

not a big fan of breakdowns at all but there are some really good ones.
jam & spoon's follow me! comes to mind.
and even though it's not trance, fatboy slim - santa cruz
As awesome as the break in Follow Me! is, it's still waaaay too long.

Mark Otten - Tranquility (Markus Schulz Remix) is one of the better breakdowns i can think of:
