Restarting the moderator debate... Sorry in advance
So it seems to me that things are getting a bit messy in here again, and I once again finding myself trolling the majority of the threads I'm reading on account of their childishness.
We never really decided who we'd ideally like as mods, so I thought (since I'm obviously the only person who can make a poll) that maybe we should do that.
Please vote for who you think would be the best mod, if you want to be a mod and aren't on the poll, then post in here and I'll edit it (assuming you CAN edit polls?) My memory's a bit fuzzy about who wanted to be considered and I don't want to put people who don't want it on there.
Hmm...definately none of your choices, where is that option? Maybe DJ RANN or Cryophonik are suitable moderators, as far as knowledge and tempermant.
But, Are you bored? I think we went through this already. And I doubt this place needs a MOD, if you think we need a MOD, id say quit being pansies. No one is really pissing in anyones cereal that much are they? Then again I only read and reply to about 1/10th of the threads, so I wouldnt know if you guys are squabbling in every thread. For the most part I see people helping eachother more than ever, so what if a thread or two gets into a hissy fit penis measuring contest? Utopias don't exist online or anywhere else, I dont see how this forum needs a MOD anymore than any other forum on TA...

Gah, just make Cryo a mod and be done with it. Hell I'll even mod if no one else wants to do it. This forum is becoming ridiculous.
It certainly could do with somebody to look after it. Whoever it may be, good luck 
I haven't been here long and I could easily vote Cryophonik. Assuming he would want to.

The only thing that happens in here is that cronodevir/sixohfour.604.sicksoughfor.whatever jumps in a thread and says something insane, and someone tries to correct him, he throws a fit, and then the remainder of the thread is spent with him throwing a fit about how he isn't throwing a fit.
I'd tell him and Diginut to both butt-screw and get over it, but I've read Diginut's posts for years and he actually knows what he's talking about, and has a lot of great information to contribute to this forum. I don't mean to bash a particular member, but some of the things I've seen Mr. 604 say are crazy... so I see why threads get derailed.
That being said, I think this sub-forum is one of the easiest around as far as signal:noise ratio, comparatively.
yep to be fair this forum seems to look after its self for the most part.
and i agree with the points made above and so i will vote for theran to keep shit in some order.
Add cryo to the choices first
Sorry, I couldn't see where Cryo had his name down as being interested in the other thread... but I did only read one so maybe I missed it.
I can't actually edit the poll, so can we use this as a thread for people to register their interest in being a mod? Does anyone else want to add their name to the list?

May I/we vote to have one removed? A certain person might bring the whole forum down in flames.
Did anyone get any response from the swampster regarding this, from the first time it came around?

its a damm shame that it needs a mod - like i said the other day trance music is generally a positive entity its a shame that some of the people are not in some senses!
I think Cryo would be a good choice due to knowledge and his overall expression, never really flames anyone but if he does its in a manner thats appropriate
There are some that have great knowledge, but just need to tame that wild side a little. Other than that im not sure havent been walking these roads for too long
You know I can just come back with a different name/address. So getting a mod is rather pointless. Unless you actually want people to think your getting a mod for some other reason.
Btw, you guys do know Existo22 is a mod right? He has locked threads a few times.
Besides that, Id choose Cryo.
Be nice if someone like myself could be a mod (but not me). That meaning that I don't have to work and have all the time in the world.
Say we get someone that refuses to leave, wants to cause problems and what not. I can sit here and ban hammer hours on end and still make money while doing it.
I would like to see Cryo as a mod as well, but I've never read the post where he says he wants to volunteer for the job. Out of that list I think Theran and Digi would do a good job.

Well, this poll is pretty irrelevent msz. Plus, we already have an active mod. Further more, ive hardly broken any rules. And if I got banned because of some guys grudge, id just come back out of spite.
So in all honesty, I don't even know why this thread is here. Usualy when I am at a forum and there are users I dislike, I leave or ignore them. I don't whine and petition to get someone banned simply because I disagree with that person. In reguards to TA, I don't have many problems, I get along fine with the reasonable people, but others are just idiots and like to argue, like diginut. Have you read his signature yet? He enjoys arguing, so I'm game.
I mean, look at the votes. I seriously doubt everyone takes these polls seriously.

Thread starters can already delete their own threads though. You could give the starter the ability to delete posts. And you don't have to give anyone global power, and have to deal with the risk involved. I am sure that is why swamper isn't too keen on giving more people global powers in the forum.
