Allen & Heath Xone:32
I'm thinking of getting one. I have read a couple reviews but I would like to read some more.
I know the gains are on the back and I can deal with that. I have a small sound rig and I think that might make it easier to regulate the DJs who don't understand what red means. I don't scratch, but I do use the cross-fader to cut in and out. I currently have a Numark Matrix3 and I do use the eq kill switches when I mix. For the most part, it will just be in my bedroom - and the maybe 5 times a year that I rent out my rig.
I found it online for $500.
Great little unit - I use one for my DJ school and for playing out. I love the fader for the filters, so much better than knobs. The gains in the back are a non-issue, don't know why people gripe about that so much.
Only thing I'd recommend is that when your crossfader goes, upgrade to the Penny&Giles fader that comes standard with the 62, 92, et al. World of difference.
Hey, also have one of these. Excellent mixer! the gains on the back are no problem for me either and as mentioned above I've never been able to figure out why ppl have an issue with it. There's a curve adjust, on/off as well as a reverse switch for the crossfader. The faders are very smooth but you should be aware that the line faders have an increased curve amount over the last cm or so of the fader but once you're used to it its fine. If you don't use the line faders this won't come into play of course.
I almost got one but then I found a Xone 62 for about $800 new so I went with that.

| Originally posted by ChrstnMchl It looks like a nice mixer, and I like that it has the full kill EQ, but I'm going to need atleast 3 channels. This mixer will be a part of my sound rig when it is rented out and I don't think the 22 is the right fit. |
Also consider an Ecler Nuo 3.0.
I'm extremely satisfied with my Ecler. Some of the best sound quality out there.
I've been very satisfied with my 32. The upfaders take a bit to get used to, but after that you'll be golden. The filter is great!
I've had my 32 for a couple months now and don't regret getting it one bit. The gains being at the back isn't really an issue as stated above multiple times. Great quality mixer, as is expected with A&H.
+1 on the Ecler. The sound quality is amazing.
Jay
save your money and get a rane mixer son!
Please. The closest model 3 channel that Rane makes is the Empath, and it retails for nearly triple the price he's looking at.
Thats why i said save up!
