download newsshark. and then connect to your providers news groups. like mine is news.attbi.net and then you search through for things starting with alt.binaries. and then you add images and stuff for what you want cheers ! and good luck they are awesome!

King

that'll help a bit

install it blah blah blah, then you add your news server in, here is attbi's then hit connect

then you just click through all the stuff, dont get the headers yet.

then the options screen will pop up. click the host button

then

click on starts with and type in alt.binaries

then sort by total

select a group to add. cd.image is for things like photoshop. It is just cd images, and basically anything goes.
and click add. then youll just exit out of all the options screens

then hit scan. it will pop up all the things. click the red button thing to get rid of imcomplete files. then sort by name

click on the batch tab, and download. itll then process them to the folder you chose for download.

there are things called .par files. They allow you to reconstruct missing or damaged files. You will have to get a mirror program of some sort to do this. Its for software RAID/mirrorings. There is a lot of little stuff, but youll figure it out. Then you just select a file, unrar it into the bin, and burn the bin onto a CD. or sometimes its a movie or whatever NOTE: doesnt have to be alt.binaries.whatever you can do searches on anime, or games or whatever, alt.binaries usually has the best though. Good luck!

uhm but this is all for backups of course. make sure you have purchased it or something, because im sure TA doesnt support any sort of illegal activity. PLUR
