I am going with Liverpool for this year. I think they have a very good chance.
I don't know about Arsenal, lost Toure, and now maybe Senderos, lost Ade, i think if they don't buy a defensive midfielder(not famous, but experienced like Veloso,Inler,Mbia,Obi-Mikel)..i think 4th place is for Man City

I was at the England - Holland friendly last night, and damn, Carlton Cole really impressed me.
He's massive, but super quick on his feet and he had a couple control moves last night that were really slick.
I hadn't heard of him before so I'm not sure when he started playing or his history or anything.
He changed the attack of the England side last night though
Relegation picks: Portsmouth, Hull (as much as I'm an Altidore fan), Wolves
Few predictions from moi
1) andre arshavin for poty
2) top 4 - chelski, man united, arsenal, liverpool
3) mark hughes to be first manager to lose his job
4) relegation, hull, burley, birmingham

| Originally posted by Ian He's immensely strong but attitude problems and lazyness have gone against him in the past. He's the kind of player you totally need to play how he did last night but often gets lost within the game. |

Zola's a good bet to get the best out of him. really impressed with what he did last year. great players don't always make great managers!
People actually watch this league?

Just because we use british groundsmen & not your mexicans, doesn't make it a bad league. It's quite funny how I knew before I read your post what it would say. La Liga is good. Premier League also. but Serie A & Ligue 1 and others are beyond our championship in attendances and excitement.
^ agreed. My fav's are the Premier League and La Liga for sure.
I just haven't been able to get into bundesliga, League 1 or Serie A
Aside from big fixtures, Serie A really is poor to watch imo (though I rate Juventus this year with a signing like Diego!), but I enjoy the bundesliga every now and then. It's incredibly high-scoring, all be it a result from lower quality defending.

^ well said. I have nothing against the German league, I just haven't had much opportunity to watch it. They have some great talent playing there for sure.
I should subscribe to Sport1 here in Amsterdam so that I get more footy on TV - especially from La Liga.
It might take them a few years to recover, but having (if they ever do) as an option makes me smile a little bit. This league comes from a nation that has won 4 world cups. Where as the other two best leagues right now are a combined for 1 world cup.
So yes, I might agree with you that it will take a little time, but Italian football will come back to the level it was once, if not better.
terrible logic to judge a league by, Uruguay must have some some solid clubs then?
Edit: I saw the Bolton-Sunderland match, what a save at the last minute of the newbie's shot! Ian, did you go? The kits didn't look that bad in real life
I think you are missing my point and perhaps I was not as detailed in my respond. My point is that for a person to have an option for Seria A stating that they might never recover from this scandal is absurd. It's like saying that the Democrats might never recover from Clintons scandal.
I hope you can understand now. I know that you post on the political forum
Anyways, great win for Sunderland. That's my new favorite EPL team as my fellow Albanian plays there
Good chance Rodallega's goal today will be top 5 in the season. What a stunner! I was impressed with Wigan today. N'Zogbia is a talented player, and with the youth/creativity of Sidwell and an often talked about Jason Scotland available on the bench they've got some good options outside the starting XI.
