Automation with Battery 3 in Logic Pro???

ok ive tried every possible method of automation until im blue in the face with this. i want to automate the speed of the stretch so that it falls then rises quickly but not using a midi controllor just using the mouse. i have read the manual and googled it over and over but can't find any suggestions. but its possible for every other instrument so there must be some wizz out there can help me out.

Just use the mouse then and record the automation in real time .

tried that doesnt record. i think it has something to do with the automation page but i cant drag ids for some reason.

you have to make sure that the parameter can be automated.

....and I've found that Battery 3 does not automate many perameters at all in Logic, which is one of the reasons I dropped it.

i figured it out. it can automate it. i was dragging the parameter up to the automation page instead of doing the opposite.
