what is the deal with ultra records anyway?
i have yet to see an original artist get signed to this label. it seems like they make all of their money by licensing popular euro trance/dance music, and at the rate they're going, they'll have every single goddamn trance producer out there by 2010. i mean, they recently signed paul van dyk (was on mute), calvin harris, above & beyond - the list goes on and on.
i guess the only real consolation here is that they're an independent label, but i wouldn't be surprised to see them get acquired by warner a few years down the road
They're the American version of Ministry Of Sound. What else is there needed to know?

so what exactly are you asking/looking for? they have a certain "angle" that is different than other labels.
and by the way, all of their "original" compilations suck ass. so they might as well stick to releasing every top jock's track here in the US.
second sun moved over to ultra recently as well.
