Dancing Dude

, bad as tune, makes the original look even betta, lol, this is the best mix so far

I dont think it was a wise choice to remix a classic classic track. Even worse, I dont think it was a wise choice to remix it if he couldnt significantly do something cool with it. Sounds to me like the Three N One Mix except its done with Marco V instruments. I wasnt impressed at all.

well, Marco V hasn't really done anything outstanding to this track. it sounds ok, but it sounds like he's lost the original vibe that made Cafe Del Mar one of those special trax, unlike the Nalin & Kane remix back in '98, which took it to a whole new level.

Dancing Dude

Even though the original's better, I kinda admire Marco V's taste. It's one of those tracks where if you like his livesets, chances are, you'll like this remix. I liked it.

I enjoyed his remix, too!!!

i think it's quite good!

King Marco V mix revisited

well, even though downloading this track and listening to it on my computer didn't really impress me, it sure Shook up the dance floors when Tiesto played it live today in DC Guess people just heard the Cafe Del Mar tune and went crazy. Though I think there is something to be said for hearing a tune and then hearing it live, they are two completely different things. For Example, when Tiesto Played southern sun today, I always thought that track would tear things up, but on the floor and on a massive soundsystem it didn't seem like anything special Anyways enough jabbering from me about Tiesto's live performance (Needless to say it was excellent), I'll let you all continue the posts of this Marco V remix.

i totaly i agree with u DJ_Skaya. When Marco V played this tune at Godskitchen Opening Party in Eden,Ibiza on 18-June-02 the whole place erupted the dancefloor was already bubling after Tall Paul heated up the place with some nice uplifting trance and when this came on we lost the plot.
speaking of Tall Paul one night earlier (17-June-02)on Mannumission Opening Nite he played this remix probably the best tune of the nite, he did fuck up his mixin and the tracks skiped a few times later on the night, which was a pity.but he made up for it next nite @ Godskitchen

I like to give a short and direct reply so here it is.

"This remix is ok, but the Original is better."

Posted by DJ_Skaya on Aug-02-2002 03:56:

hmmm, Interestingly enough I don't think I have ever heard the 'Original' mix of this song. Somehow I get the strange feeling that by 'Original", they really mean the Three N One remix...

This track is so so ... nothing special, the original one and few other remixes are way better.

the 3n1 mix is still my favourite track of all time, but this is a bit dissapointing. i totally agree with racoon, its just the main riff with marco v's percussion. only the nalin & kane mix comes close to the 3n1 mix

Thumbs up

Great remix, adds Marco V's touch while sticking to the theme of the original. Though my favourite is still the Kid Paul '93 Mix.

I think so too, even if Three'n'One Remix is far from the Original.. it's from '97 when Caf Del Mar came out in '93 with Kid Paul, Cosmic Baby, Peace & Porte de Bagnolet Mixes. Three'n'One Remix is just the best known version. And there is NO actual mix called Original Mix. The only mix i think could be called as Original Mix, is Kid Paul Mix.

About this Marco V Remix, he didn't give anything new to this track and just added his bassline and a few effects, but otherwise it's too similar to all the other versions.. so quite disappointing effort from Marco V. it works well when played in a club though!

Actually, its called "Cafe del Marco V Remix"...

I like it.. have u guys heard the b-side of the 12" its on?
Its like, Michael Woods Ambient Mix or something...
kewl track... at least relaxing

We all know the original is better, but I like the energy that Marco V puts in his tracks. Good bassline/ hard synths, and percussion effects. Definetly has this energy, that'll make people who are at a club dance. I'd say this remix is solid, but doesn't come close to the original. -Mental

Which one do you consider to be the original?

Three'n One, Nalin & Kane or another....

Posted by bilange on Apr-02-2003 18:24:

Of course, the original is better. Like someone said, this remix lost the "i-dont-know-what" that makes the original cool.

6/10

Didn't mind it 8 months ago but it's been flogged to death IMO. Never really liked the 3in1 mix either. I go for the J00F mix if I ever play it.
