Coast 2 Coast - Home (Neutron and Star Remix)

most of you know me as not much of a trance guy these days, however i was just sent this video for an upcoming remix:

this is what trance needs, imo.

I'm talking about the style of production, not remakes.

what's so special about the production? First of all it's a really crappy remake. Second the style is not at all anything different than the other stuff being played by Armin van Anjunabeat these days.

Evil1

fuck off with the fucking remakes, release something NEW i'll spell it slowly N E W !!!

Rather bad. Vocals don't really fit at all and otherwise it's pretty forgettable. Original / 5AM Mix all the way!

My god, that is the most bland, by the numbers remix I've heard yet. Old style bass line, very flat percussion (especially by today's standards), it's like a load of loops and presets were thrown in a tumble dryer along with the acappella. This is generic trance remake 101.

Maybe by "this is what trance needs" you mean tits and ass?

How is this remix of a good track any way original?
Linking a video to an upcoming remake stating this is what trance needs w/out any details means nothing.

Vocals seems just cut and pasted on top of the melody and seems off by half a key - to my ears atleast, maybe its just the craptcular quality of youtube audio.

This, to be honest, seems bland.

I'm a big fan of modal harmonies so that makes it sound appealing to me, but I don't know if anyone noticed how close that melody line is to Binary Finary 1998.

Oh my god they raped one of my favorite vocal trance songs of all time.

Posted by the_voice on Aug-19-2009 14:06:

i dont care about any vocal trance btw that video was fucking stupid u would not see me at a pussy rave like that one in that video

Sounds like ASOT pooped all over Home.

When the vocals came in at :21 I thought one of those talking advertisements were playing over the song at first. They didn't even bother to try and blend the vocals into the backing track.

the vocals do not blend in but the track is solid
