Looking to hit some Loft Parties...for September 2009 and beyond

I don't know why people don't ever discuss these in this forum. Montreal is really big on these because the crowd is more intimate and less sketchy.

Sooo...I'm looking for deets on Loft parties in Ottawa or Montreal. If anyone has info, please share here.

Also, if anyone has info on these in T.dot anytime soon...please share here too.

Cheers,
P

look out for Produkt Loft parties in Montreal, check the Montreal subforum.

Saw Fanciulli there...WICKED ATMOSPHERE.

From my experience loft parties in TO are not less sketchy than clubs.

considering many are serving alcohol without a license, i think it would be best not to share info on them here.

Pfff...the topic in this thread is not about alcohol consumption.

And FYI loft parties aren't a big secret!

Your input never fails to amaze me.

Nice...thanks I'll check it out.

What were some great loft parties in the past? Does anyone care to share?

What about great Ottawa and Montreal forums to check out in?

So now that I have a few more minutes, a bit more about Produkt loft...

Tiny little venue, I'd say no more than 20-25' Wide, by 60' Long, 10' ceilings.

Couches line the sides. Hardwood dance floor. Old brick walls.

If you want to be right up front at the DJ booth, you're literally right up front, at eye-level with the DJ. I thought that was really cool.

Sound in there was so crisp and warm. I was glad I got to hear Energy Flash for the first time the way it was meant to be heard.

Lighting...not so much. They have some, but it's not very dark either.

If you have the opportunity to attend a Produkt loft party, do it. Intangible and I had a fantastic time. I love this loft so much, I miss it, and I'm itching to go back.

Also, Pascale, who If I'm not mistaken is a part of the Produkt crew, was very welcoming and chatted with us for a bit.

^KOS before fanciulli

^^ 4sure I'm hitting this up. Sweet pic.

Sensation 2009 is another one we're considering too.

I'm only sad that Heaven in Ottawa closed down. I hope Chris and the rest open up something else soon....Ottawa's going to be a ghost town again.

actually, many of toronto's loft parties are secret. they are not advertised openly and all promo is kept to word of mouth. also, there have been some that were shut down by law enforcement for various reasons so im pretty sure the organizers would appreciate some discretion because many of these loft parties do serve alcohol without a license.

your lack of knowledge never fails to amaze me.

LOL^^^is your name Activate now?

Chinamon...did you forget to wipe your glasses. I wasn't talking about Toronto Loft parties. My reference was to Ottawa and Montreal and they aren't a big secret there.

As for a Toronto Loft Party...I would think anyone posting on TA would first of all know what a loft party is. Most TA's that I know have enuf common sense to google it if they didn't know (but thanks neways for your urbandictionary explanation of it). Now back to put this in layman terms for you...Most TA's are intelligent enuf to pm or fb me if something is private. If they'd be posting specific deets here...then they are a tool.

For the record I'm not interested in Toronto loft parties(yawn).

Now stop trying to so hard to get extra points with Activate and add something useful to this thread.

your level of extreme mental retardation never fails to amaze me.

please continue...

^^^ LOL ok yes I forgot I said T.dot.

Truth be told...I was just saying t.dot in case others wanted to share something about a past loft experience.

Lofts in T.dot imo just aren't like the parties in Montreal or New York City. So in truth...it was out of courtesy that I included T.dot in case someone really had something great to add.

HAHAHAHAHA Activate...still lame as ever. Now run back to your cliques.

So you think it's ok to behave like a tool to a person?

Chinamon...if it's not your argument...don't get involved, otherwise you just come off looking like you just want to score extra points with a clique.

True...I should of said Activate acted like a tool to a person...cuz in truth we are all persons of equal value. That being said...it shouldn't be a crime for a girl to stand up for herself.
