Brett Favre is back

He just can't stay retired. Wrangler Jeans for life.

quote:
A source close to Brett Favre said the quarterback, pending a physical, will sign a contract with the Minnesota Vikings for between $10 million to $12 million, according to ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Aug-18-2009 15:55:

why stay retired if someone is willing to pay you a crap load of money to suck.

he's no different than a lot of those guys who have known nothing else their whole life other than their sport... he can't let go. he's one wishy washy bastard. I knew he was full of shit about staying retired this time too- he just wanted to avoid the rigors of training camp and shit.

Posted by UWM on Aug-18-2009 16:04:

He's such a joke. I hope the Packers don't allow him to be inducted into the HOF wearing their colors.

Michael Jordan had a reason to come back a third time, because his idea was more like "I am the greatest basketball player to have ever lived, why not teach some of these rookies a thing or two?" Brett Favre has won ONE Superbowl, but set a lot of records and won some other championships, so while he was a great player, his time has passed, and now it's time for him to give it up. But he never will, not until he gets majorly injured by one of those semi-truck sized linebackers.

Given the size of this negro, it would be pretty easy to do.

that nigga looked really slow in the first preseason game i watched. i dunno if he's takin it easy cuz it's after a big offseason surgery. or if that shit actually took a bit off his edge. or what...

Posted by The17sss on Aug-18-2009 18:05:

yeah man sometimes it takes those guys a long time to come back from that knee... I'm sure he is hesitant playing on it, nervous that if he cuts too hard he might pop it again. He might not be back to normal till next season.

Posted by Renzo on Aug-18-2009 18:06:

I'd say it's because he's banging Tila Tequila. Not good for anyone's career.
