the rising effect serious newb question..
producers always use this to bring in another instrument or a new part of a track..it sort of sounds like a wave and theres many styles.. i guess its sort of a filter..i want to know whats it called
i might get flamed for this but..in order for my tracks to sound complete i needa know how to do this..i can do it with 3x osc but it doesnt sound that good
any tips?
Sounds like a White Noise rise. Set an Oscillator to White Noise, add a Low Pass Filter then use an ADSR to modulate the Cutoff.
Definitely white noise. Often it's sidechained too but be careful with that effect. It's a bit overused right now.
thanks guys thats what it was.
Yes its usually white noise with added fx etc.
If you want some very high quality and more original sounding effects, i would highly reccomend checking out this sample library:

+1 on the sidechained noise effect. Its been done to death recently.
You need the Dubfire VST.
Speaking of Dubfire VST...surprised famous producers/DJs don't have more software developers aproaching them to do branding and co-development deals.
Yes, those sweep are called "uplifters". The Wave Alchemy set has some great ones, the Vengeance FX 1 & 2 sets have a lot of them too.
Depends whether you want to create your own or have a library of ready made ones.
