Send your music to me, Olympik Records
http://www.myspace.com/olympikrecords
Looking for trance, house, nu-disco, ambient, techno, acid, downtempo, atmospheric D&B, breaks, indie dance, experimental, dubstep. Non-genre specific is the game, Olympik Records is the name. (LOL)
send them (LINKS ONLY) to - I'll do my best to give every demo submission feedback and PLEASE DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SUBMIT YOUR DEMO! - It is a 100% confidential process (unless we license the track of course)
Maybe there are some TA'ers here who can vouce for me?!
Anyway, look forward to hearing from you guys. The last thread I started asking for demos turned out to be a winner for everybody involved.

I sent in a demo a few months back, they liked it, it got a release and I have 3 more remixes being released with them in the near future.
So yeah, send in your demo's, you never know what might happen

Steven and his label mates do a lot of things right.
AND he's a huge board whore
LOL

Would you be interested in an entire album? Even if it were mostly not "dancefloor friendly" stuff?

I am interested in everything. Currently trying to work out a deal for an entire ambient, soundscape album. The only hang up is the person wants it released as one big track instead of cutting it up. I admire the desire to go against the norm, but that is a nightmare when he can cut 10 tracks and I can take those melodies and get remixes done with them, along with having the album have individual tracks for our company promo's.
But yea, I'll listen to anything. That's the only thing I will guarantee. I will do my very best to give feedback and wether you have been producing for a month or 10 years I want to hear what you're doing. Us A&R nerds think we can spot a talented artist before he ever downloads his first cracked version of fruity loops.

Matt Acton has been a huge success. He is a man of few words among this board but the guy can flat out produce. He fancies progressive breaks too which just eats me alive. Look out for his Sorrow remix coming soon, followed by TasteXperience's Hydewood and Foursii's "Be Here Now"
Foursii is another amazing producer in my eyes. His skills have absolutely blown my mind with somebody who has been producing for less than a year with no music background. I don't see how he doesn't grow into a very big artist because he isn't anywhere close to peaking. Hopefully Olympik can jump him onto a bigger label and create more exposure for him.
I really do operate the label in a very unique way. Very transparent, very straight forward, and very artist oriented. I'm not here for money and those who have worked with me know this. I'm just a music purist trying to push (your) quality music.

Cool, that is mostly the kind of thing I make. Anyway, I'm not close to having the whole album done yet, I was just asking for the sake of future possibilities.

I'm going to send some stuff soon, no official demo, just some tracks that I think I need someone else to hear before I rework them. But taproductionstudio.net isn't working atm.

I sent an email a while back, still no response.

Just curious dude, if you sign one of my tracks, what exposure will I get? I really like the sounds o the way your running the label, but I'm wondering what DJs are playing the tracks, who's remixing, and how they're being distributed?

Man, I had a huge reply written and the window was closed, so I'll try to summarize what I elaborated on (and it's still long!)... you can read more about olympik records at our myspace www.myspace.com/olympikrecords
We use the following distributors and continue to add new ones:
Audiojelly
> Dance-Tunes
> DJ Download
> Trackitdown
> Juno
> DJ Tunes
> DJMR
> Beats Digital
> 7Digital
> iTunes
> TuneTribe
> Global Groove Digital
> eMusic
> MediaNet (HMV / Tesco Digital etc.)
> Nokia
Juno is and always will be our #1 distributor even when Beatport comes aboard. Juno (juno.co.uk and junodownload.com) combined for over 60,000 unique IP visits in July. Beatport had 39,000. For the year, Junodownload visits are up around 70%, and juno.co.uk is up 12%, while Beatport is up less than %1 and was MINUS 4% in July. (Do you see a trend here because I do) - Check for yourself if you like.
http://www.compete.com
People think Beatport is the end all be all (because it used to be) but its fading away because it's not bringing in revenue like it used to and it cannot adapt. Juno is a tried and tested company and knows exactly what they are doing. They have also been beyond loyal to me, and I hold a tremendous amount of respect for them because of it. They sent me gift cards, stickers, and other cool things when they mailed the contract. This was before I had even inked anything or began distribution. They are very nice people, always friendly on the phone, etc. Can't say enough good things about them.
As for promoting your music, we have the standard huge DJ promotion list for the top jocks. We also send to companies. Most of the major automobile companies, abercrombie, and a few others. I'm still trying to build the corporation list (it's not easy) - When I receive feedback from an artist, both good or bad, it is immediately forwarded to the producer/remixer of the track.
Here are some...
Support and praise has poured in from the likes of Andy Moor, SolarStone, Airbase, Matt Cerf, Jaytech, Artego, Three Drives, Mike Saint-Jules, Kenneth Thomas, Darin Epsilon, and more..! In addition, Olympik Records tracks have been heard on some of the most popular radio shows on the globe, such as Swedish Egil's "Groove Radio," SolarStone's Solaris International, Kenneth Thomas' "Obsessions," AnjunaBeats Worldwide, and more.
We are still a growing label, but we have come a long way in less than a year. We've got fellow TA Laurent aka Airwave aka (a shit load of aliases) remixing TasteXperience's Hydewood and our contacts seem to grow every day. I still have work to do such as getting some Q & A's on websites people actually read as well as magazines eventually (and hopefully soon) I've actually got a list of personal goals for the label and once the list is done it'll be an elite label, but it's not going to happen over night. It takes a lot of hard work and good decision making.
Finally, for promotion I do consider taking out advertisements depending on the release and what is expected. For instance, with the Hydewood release I am buying a 2 week banner on Trackitdown.net - It'll be the main banner on the website (top center logo) to help promote that release.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me or any artist who is a part of the label. We are more like family & friends, not so much like a traditional label.

One day...
Posted by DjStephenWiley on Sep-08-2009 17:17:
For those waiting to receive feedback, thank you for your patience. I've had more demos come in during the past week than ever before (and by a long shot) - I listen to demos way more than one time, write notes for the feedback, etc. I WILL get to you, promise. If you don't hear from me in 2 weeks, please give me your email. For those considering submitting music, for every person who says they didn't receive feedback there are 10 who have received feedback. Maybe some can post in here!
Anyway - Send me your promos! (LINKS ONLY, 320KBPS)
It is a 100% anonymous process. My co-owners don't even hear the tracks until we've signed them. (I handle all A&R and day to day operations)
Look forward to hearing from you guys soon.
Again, my email is

I'll vouch for Stephen
he's always been very constructive in his emails and thank you for that!
I definitely recommend sending demos, especially if you want someone to hear your music. I rarely post material in the producer's forum, because no one seems to reply (no one replies to anything anymore) so this is one way to get that critique you need.
BTW, this reminds me that I need to reply to your last one Stephen, I've been hella busy lately.

Send your demos in guys, Stephen is v good at giving feedback on the track whether he takes it on board or not. You never see this in many of the top labels, an honest, experienced second opinion on a track is priceless and often leads to positive improvements and eventually signed!
