Seems to be a worth listening to compilation
2nd mix compilation by seaman this summer
. although this is not going to be anything similar to the old renaissance compilations by seaman, i will still check this one out.
Sad to see Renaissance turning into GU...is it really that hard to find a DJ that isn't Dave Seaman or Hernan Cattaneo to do a mixed comp?
Anyways...first disc looks interesting. Has some tracks like "The Bright Forest" that I wouldn't associate with Dave Seaman at all. Might be interesting. Disc two, not so much...
Geez, is everyone except Hernan that did a Renaissance compilation trying to be Sasha? This is a very uninteresting t/l if you ask me.

So I guess Renaissance is planning to have the same people return for "Masters" mix comps every time they change the format of how these things are cataloged?
I'm sure we'll see Cattaneo and Seaman again in about a year and a half when they decide to drop the word 'the' from the title.

Love that cover... Seaman's mix albums are really hit-or-miss for me though.

| Originally posted by SYSTEM-J Aside from his tendency to whore out Stress/Audio Therapy, Seaman has always tried to be Sasha. There are half a dozen tracks on here I'd be interested in hearing, but Seaman's last entry into this series was pure ditchwater. |
I'm not knocking him as a DJ - technically he's top notch, for this kind of music, and some of his older mixes are special to me - but he's pretty derivative.
