Are you talking about the very basic chord plucks or the very basic pad that you can't replicate?

Atmosphere is good for pads, and z3ta+, Vanguard and Nexus are all full of trance plucks like those.

You mean the white noise thing? At least one of your synths should have a noise generator, and then it's just a matter of setting the filter and amp envelopes...

Posted by DreambreaX on Aug-24-2009 17:10:

NOT the noise pads, but the main melody (the basic chord pluck)

teng teng tengteng, teng teng tengteng <--- this sound!! in the minutes starting of 03:11

u mean I should use vanguard or nexus to make this sound?

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-24-2009 17:29:

Albino should be fully capable of this. It's a basic saw sound playing two notes at once. Short amp release and low sustain. Filter cutoff a little over halfway up, I'm guessing.

Posted by DreambreaX on Aug-24-2009 17:31:

could you please name the sound in albino that will work for that?

cuz i try albino and still can't replicate the sound.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-24-2009 17:33:

I just gave you some tips on how to craft the sound. I don't know the names of the Albino presets, LOL, I just know that Albino is a decent subtractive synth that can do this sort of sound easily.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-24-2009 17:34:

It's your synth: learn to program it.

Posted by DreambreaX on Aug-24-2009 17:35:

yeah i know, some looks similar, but the COLOR is still different. the paul miller one looks professional.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-24-2009 17:37:

Try playing around with compression and EQ then, and adding some delay and reverb like in the sample.

Posted by flutlicht junky on Aug-24-2009 18:00:

IMHO this has Nexus written all over it.

I would try something like Plucked > Dance Seq with and another synth playing Plucked > FM Bells so it ayer another pad behind with a fast attack and long delay to create the wash and give the tight pluck some depth.

Dont think just one synth but maybe use diff patches and build up your sounds. Then try breaking out SYlenth and creating your own patches

Posted by henryv on Aug-24-2009 18:33:

could it be beat delay?

Posted by johncannons1 on Aug-25-2009 05:03:

well i can replicate similar on thor.
but u dont have that.

ok so probably.

amp envelope.
0 attack.

low decay low sustain possibly no release.

filter envelope

prob try the same.

sorry im at work so im trying to think of what i did.

play around with the decay and sustain. that will give you the pluck sound..

sorry** on a saw wave. possibly 3.

one normal one -7 cents. one plus 7 cents

The problem is that you're looking at the sound... I find listening helps.

This is pretty standard stuff and I think most VSTs will have a very similar preset to it. If you're having trouble getting it to sound right, perhaps you're playing the wrong chords?

Posted by Jaekiira on Aug-25-2009 23:51:

for something some similar to that pluck ( not exact )

i would reccomend sylenth1 reso lead patch with lp filter taking out most of the high end.

Posted by johncannons1 on Aug-27-2009 07:09:

ps i like this song.
i have never heard this before

Posted by DreambreaX on Aug-27-2009 16:08:

I use albino, lennar digital, es p, es2

could someone name the presets which are similar to the sound?

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-27-2009 16:18:

Or you could stop using presets and learn to program your own sounds.

using presets doesnt mean crap. of course it is better to make our own sound, but if there is a preset and sounds great why dont i use them instead of making them from zero?

im still learning to make this kind of sound on my own.
