Cloudwalking On The Sahara (Trance)
So this is my first mix I've ever done and I'd really love for people to give me any feedback or comments, positive or negative, on things they like and things I should improve on. I've had a lot of positive comments from people in real life, but I think you guys will have much more knowledgeable feedback lol.
Personally I think it has a nice flow to it and I love the song selection, a bunch of my favorite classics from the golden era.
Hopefully you guys will enjoy it as well!
Thanks for listening.

Doesn't look too bad (except that I hate Sahara). I'll check it out when I have a bit more time.
pretty good mix, some tracks i havent heard in there despite being 'classics' but overall pretty good
i like the choice of outtro! one of my favorites! keep upp ze gooden worken
Yeah that is one of my favorite songs to outro with.
Glad to hear some people enjoying it! Hope some others will also find this and enjoy, as it's actually GOOD trance opposed to the new stuff and a golden age mix that doesn't feature the same old songs everybody always has.
One question for Mr. Mystery, do you not like Solid Globe in general or just Sahara?

Yeah I know there is still alot of good stuff being made. It's just depressing to see every other trance set all joc and oceanlab. Plus I just prefer this era.
And cool mystery I wasnt sure, English isn't my first language. I think sahara is okay, probably this mixes weakest point though. They have several other songs I do love though.
Glad to see people enjoying it! Hope more will continue to do so!
Thanks for listening!

Union Jack!
Anyways, now that I'm back and off that fucking iPhone..
Union Jack is obviously making good new stuff, that's about it though. I enjoyed Solarstone's latest and have high hopes for WoW's next but we'll see. Beyond the Solarstone and Platipus releases I haven't found anything new I've liked lately.
So a few people have listened to this, anyone have any suggestions on what to do better? Mix wise, flow wise, song wise (beyond no Sahara, lol).
Thanks

| Originally posted by mfitterer1 You just have to dig man. The only thing is it's all shifted to prog these days. The trance as we knew it from years past is dying if not already dead. I guess most of it is just because there are so few producers putting out original ideas in the golden era trance these days. Prog just gives producers heaps more options/ideas/and makes sets far more interesting. |

| Originally posted by RebeL9 prog trance have been big for several years actually. I wouldn't say that "it's all shifted to prog". Instead it's just that alot of producers release really crappy cheesy stuff. Just look at the big producers such as Armin and Paul van Dyk. Also alot of the old producers don't release trance any longer such as Oliver Lieb. |

A lot is released. It's just all shit. That's why in my mixes I only use old trance. The new stuff is mostly garbage except for the rare track here or there.

Bump!
