T-RackS 6 for 1 Sale (-->31 Aug)

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/Main.ht...upmix/index.php

Anyone taken advantage of this or use the T-RackS stuff?
It's only on for a couple more days so if it's any good I'd like to take advantage and grab 6 VSTs.

If you were buying, which 6 would you get? Starting with the #1 you'd buy straight away.

Sweet. Thanks for this. I jumped at it. I've been looking for native versions of some of my UAD stuff, and IK makes emulations of the Pultec and Fairchild 670. I dont know how they compare but I'll find out.

I bought the Opto compressor first. I like Opto compressors because their very sensitive compressors, especially when sidechained. I'll probably pick up the 670 emu, pultec emu and the limiter, as I want to try something different than my Waves limiter.

Man, that looks tempting, but I've already got almost every one of those processors covered by other plugins. The one that really interests me is the multi-band limiter, so maybe I do need to buy them. Damn you, Fledz!

So, if I understand the promo correctly, once you buy and register the first plugin, you can choose/download the other 4 plus the reverb immediately? Or, do you have to wait until the end of the promo to get the freebies? I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of these before I pull the trigger myself, Eric.

I believe you have to download all of them before the end of Aug 31st so yes, get them asap.

Eric J - Apparently they sound exactly the same as the UAD stuff and that's coming from people that actually own UAD gear. Remarkable really.

I'm like one click away from getting this, just thinking which ones though.

That'd be really great, because as much as I like the UAD stuff, the latency is really starting to be a problem, especially when incorporating external instruments.

Dude, you can't pass this up. 6 plugins for the price of one!

Posted by cryophonik on Aug-29-2009 05:44:

Just saw this on KVR:

http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?...de=groupmix2009

You can save $25 on one plugin and apparently it works with the group buy and is legit!

The registration process is a real pain in the ass, and you have to di it 6 times, but once its done, its done.

The plugins sound good, tho. Just testing them out now on some existing material. Not too CPU heavy either.

thanks for this,

I dont have many compressors, limiters, clippers outside the logic plug ins so this was a really good pack to get to start with. Also aussie dollar is strong at the moment so i didnt hesitate and got it.

Quite the deal man

Posted by Fledz on Aug-30-2009 00:24:

lol I can't believe we all missed it. It actually started back on July 1 and got progressively better.

Lucky for an email from IK ha?

Awesome deal ! Thinking of getting the Opto, the Fairchild 670 emulation, the classic studio reverb (hall) ... and then I'm not sure what other ones I should go for

Thinking about it, may pull the trigger tonight... maybe.

Are these any good? Last IK stuff I remember was T-Racks, (the standalone version), I don't pay too much attention to vst's.

For me:

Vintage Tube Compressor/ Limiter Model 670
Vintage Tube Program Equalizer
Opto Compressor
Linear Phase Equalizer

and of course you get "Classik Studio Reverb" as well.

I can't buy this unless my money transfer clears sometime tomorrow. I just transferred money from my savings account so hopefully the bank clears it straight away on monday. If they do, I'll be grabbing this for sure.

Cheers for starting a thread on Anjuna Jon. I completely forgot!

I picked up my 6 plugins today.

It'll be interesting to see how much they get used, but the first impressions are very positive. The compressors (Opto and Vintage Tube 670) colour the sound in a very musical way. The brickwall limiter has a nice range of options on it. I tried it out against my Waves L1, and was able to get a few extra dB out of the T-Racks limiter. It may also sound slightly more musical, but I wouldn't put too much weight on that opinion, I've only used it a few hours.

I'm going to have to stop hanging around these forums, I keep ending up with great plugins at low prices.

We'll all be able to collab with each other soon as we'll have the exact same VSTs!

Btw, what 6 (or 5 rather) did you pick up?

Posted by derail on Aug-30-2009 12:01:

I got the first 5 in the list - Vintage Tube compressor, Vintage Tube program EQ, Opto Compressor, Brickwall Limiter and Linear Phase EQ.

I was considering the classic clipper, but the Brickwall limiter has clip as one of it's limiting options (as well as "clean", 4 "advanced" modes and 3 saturation modes). I'm quite impressed with the limiter.

The Linear Phase EQ seems to use a heap of CPU. I use mostly hardware, so my old PC has been going okay, but I'm looking to upgrade it in the next half year or so, so I can comfortably use some of these new effects and synths I've bought.

Gonna grab it tomorrow. Still not sure what units, though...

Posted by staticblue on Aug-31-2009 06:42:

Haven't had much time to play with these yet, but I am definitely liking the Pultec EQ emulation already

Time to call in a favour off a friend, or family, preferably with a credit card to hand?

The online shop seems to be down for me. Can anybody else access it?

Edit: Seems to be back online now.
