Filter Nightclub Grand Opening | Friday September 4th 2009

Liquified, having pioneered Atlanta's electronic music landscape for over 15 years are set to launch an exciting, nightlife venture. FILTER, is a new night club and lounge located in burgeoning historic downtown Atlanta. FILTER's goal is to innovate, rethink and evolve the Atlanta nightlife scene by offering the very best in cutting edge music pumped through an all-new, state of the art NEXO Sound System, in a breathtakingly beautiful space.

FILTER is proud to introduce Shadow Lounge and Braille Bar, two unique environments designed with an eco-friendly, yet futuristic aesthetic. FILTER will look and sound like nothing you have experienced in Atlanta or anywhere else.

Doh I already paid for Desyn.

This will be good times. We always waited to have Desyn come through a few years back. Lucky to be in town, with Desyn at this venue.

Already bought my ticket, though

Since it's free, there should be no excuse for missing this!

Everything is coming along great for the opening, the only thing that I am a little disappointed in is that the LED ceiling didn't arrive this week so it won't installed for opening night but I did not want to cancel Desyn so we will be putting in a temporary lighting rig for this week.

Ok, so I might just have to come out of retirement to see what all the hoop-la is all about. No excuse not to have that ceiling up... You can borrow mine, Scott's, and Bobby's LCD monitors and just run milkdrop all night on them. I think between the three of us, we can cover that ceiling!!!

Scott, You and Leeann going?!? I might need some "relaxation" after the past month from hell. I might see if B&J want to go as well. It would be nice to get some of the old group together and then trash B&Js place like old times!

LED, LCD, and LSD are nice bells and whistles but I hope that's not a distraction from the most important piece: the sound system.

Ya, not like the Cryo machine the Mark installed a few years ago. A bit of a distraction more then anything else. But I bought a 24" screen just for milkdrop so you put a giant LED display above me and I do not think it can be anything but a distraction. Just keep the candy away or you will find me laying on the floor looking at the ceiling all night long! (You know that is the truth!)

NEXO makes a good system. I am interested to see if it matches well for the space it is going into. Devin, do you what Nexo is being put in? I mainly know of Nexo going into arenas and large venues where sound quailty is not as important as overall output and bass.

Its the same system we used for the Sasha and Digweed show last month. Its the Nexo PS15 system

I RSVPed for a friend a few hours ago (11AM). Is it too late?
