TasteXperience meets Airwave..... :)
Our fellow TA'er, Laurent, has done it again.
First song in the link below.
Two trance legends getting it done!
Let me know what you guys think.

good stuff
I love it and the release package is great
.
when all the elements are in it sounds realllly nice
Nice! Congratulations, Stephen - this should get Olympik Records some more name recognition!
I love TasteXperience and airwave ain't bad either. Song itself is very good - just the style I'm mostly into atm.

this sounds very promosing, great groove, sound and vibe, really a after-summer track it seems.
cant wait to hear the 320kbps, be sure to bump me when its released, caus myspace sound is terrible.
im abit sceptic to the guitar (as usual) but it seems to work right here. great work lolo

Name recognition on Olympik is important, but the exposure and recognition of Olympik artists is far and away the #1 goal. I chose Airwave for the remix for several (obvious) reasons. His remix completed the release perfectly. |
yeah i liked it, nice remix there.
I would encourage your artist to change his/her name. Tastexperience sounds like a wheetabix promo. All the fiber with better taste.
Congratulations on the release. Since you asked for feedback....
I found both mixes lacking in originality from the cookie cutter form to the bland synth sounds that were neat in 1995. The melody , if you can call a chord change a melody, was forgettable and the mix sounded like a demo.
I suppose I was expecting something different when you mentioned "legends" .

no thanks. If you don't like my feedback, ignore it. your monkey brain input that turns honest threads into bitching fests is a lot more disrespectful than any honest input someone might have including mine. everything I said was said because I firmly believe it.
the name of the artist is awful
the music is substandard.
I wouldn't buy it.
He is running a business and I'm sure he is old enough to know when to listen and when to ignore people. He doesn't need people like you to defend him.
What is your music like, RichieV?
I get curious when someone's criticism is both very confident and very negative...

I liked the track, and I particularly like guitar tracks that are well done
Cheers!

This is very good for your label. Congrats.
TasteXperience is an established and fairly well-known name (AFAIK, at least) in the genre - changing it at this point is practically suicide from a marketing standpoint. All you have to do is google the name to see what I'm talking about. Regardless, it's a moot point since I'm sure they aren't going to change it simply because one person on a forum doesn't like it.

Its a good name because its already associated with several trance classics like this one.

Well done. Quite groovy and great mix!
Congrats Stephen and Laurent.
Nice to see two TA's working together and the both of them great guys.
Can't DL the track right now but look forward to hearing it soon.
I can't say if he's right or wrong on this matter but I can however vouch for RichieV - we work in the same field (different roles) and trust me when I say he knows advanced music theory more than 99% of people on here.
