i'm really interested at seeing how calypso worked after el baille aleman and befor mirko loco. I also love lose control (was one of my fave dance to tracks of 06) so i'm in.

i'd just like to say that your style over the past couple of years really influenced this particular set. also guys like Haak and Az and Greg.

i'm not playing this type of stuff live - i'm still deep house through and through. but just wanted to do something techier this time around.

This set was pretty wicked Denys. As soon as you dropped the Anton Pieete track my body was in full jacking mode. Mixing was spot on and I was able to notice that much like your spring mix, you like to start transitions very early, which is cool because you pull it off quite well and the result is that you obviously don't lose any of the momentum.

Anyway, TL was largely familiar but still had stuff I haven't heard before, and overall this was just really great. I'm probably gonna pop this on again tomorrow. Reliably fun - just the way I like it

Party must have gone down pretty well

edit: and dammit, because of you I was like "there is no turning back...there is no turning back" all day at work today and people must have thought that was pretty weird

glad you enjoyed adam. that boratto track is my fav of the summer and has definitely been stuck in my head as well

i am checking out your mix at work tomorrow. today was hump day and i had no time at all... lol "hump" day. i wish it was literal.

I thought you did a really nice job on this, definitely an improvement from the last set you had posted around here. Mixing was much improved, and there was a real obvious progression from start to finish. The first part of the mix really reminded me of a Freak set, which you said was an inspiration to you. The mix really started getting into the swing of things around Calypso 08, and the energy didn't let up until the end. Really enjoyed the Mirko Loko and Gui Boratto songs in particular. Gonna definitely keep this one in rotation!

oh you mean the "i've been drinking for 4 hours before i went on the decks for this one"?

yeah that was a baller set.

thanks for listening.

I listened to this last night Denny...i was a little surprised at the first track...the talking during it was kinda weird...(at first i thought it was a pop-up ad talking to me on my computer )

but after that things got much better, and had some nice funk to it along the way. and the ending was pretty awesome too. good flow (aside from that intro...ugh)

good listen

Solid mix as usual mate. Mixing was really smooth and had some great tracks in there. 'El Baile Aleman' into 'Calypso' worked perfectly, IMO.

i'd say this one is a bit different (style) from others. enjoy anyway

i thought this was really nice denys. Although the tracklist was largely familiar, it did not really affect how enjoyable this listen was. The big surprise for me was calypso working so early. I had always thought of it as a big hands in the air cheesy goodbye. Well done man

agree on calypso as a closer. but i went into it without knowing what i wanted to do and just kinda pulled records at random from memory of what they were like.

tracks 10 & 11 don't really fit, but they're fun and give a bit more energy towards the end of the set. other than that it was a pretty fun mix to make.

thanks for listening
