The new Texas driver's license

This is just plain ridiculous if you asked me.

I received my new Texas DL a few days ago. The first thing I thought was "oh my, oh me, oh what the fuck?". You'd think a 7-year old 1st-grader thought up some design and sent it to the state capitol for approval.

How can you go from this:

to this?

I feel like writing to capitol or going to Ausitn myself and throwing this nonsense in a few people's faces. Not only is this a shitty upgrade, but in 3 days I've been rejected twice because of a possible "fake ID" scenario inside a convenient store, and almost got my ID taken up last night when I bought a pack of cigarettes at a nearby Shell. I'm probably 1 of 500,000 Texans writing to congress about this issue.

Heads up. If you're due for a new Texas DL, get ready. It's going to make your life impossible until either a) fucking clerks get used to seeing these ideas more often, or b) TxDOT realizes they've made the bigeest mistake of their lives. It's already been on the news and people are furious. So, consider this a warning and be prepared for the Arab mob-like clerks coming down on you like the army (no offense to Nathan )

yea...i've seen a new license. they suck major ass. apparently they are impossible to fake though. but yes, they look fucking retarded...i probably could have come up with a better design in mspaint. OH WAIT...I DID

oh shit...I just lost my ID 2 weeks ago. I've been carrying around my expired license till I get a chance to go get a new one. Thanks on the heads up on what to expect. Bummer.

Has anyone else noticed when you order them off the internet instead of waiting in that long assteck line that you ID/DL comes back like you been living in Miami for 2 years??? Ain't nothing wrong with living in Miami2 years until you lived in Miami 2 years and your ID still comes backs 2 more years older looking than the original 2 years.

Had issues in both LA and Hawaii with my new license. Each time they looked at it they had to look at it closely and always asked me "oh is this the new Texas license?"

No, it's the new fake one that I made right before I went on my trip. Jeez
