I've always wanted that soundcard.

Although, I don't really like the pigeon-holing. It says that you'll be disqualified for using a rap accapella in a minimal techno mix, but what if you're using a minimal techno remix of a rap song? And does this mean that you simply can't blend Caribean Latin House and Mexican Latin House. What are the restrictions for mixing Progressive Tech House with Progressive Techno.

Or will I be able to mix that hot Electro remix of that Tech House tune together with that Proggy as hell remix of that other Tech House tune, both of which are all the craze in that Funky House club I'm always going to to get that Disco House vibe, ya dig?

What I'm trying to say is, how will you define which genres each tune is, and who will define them. What sounds like electro to you might sound like tech house to me, for example.

Look, I really don't bother, it just seems like a bit of flim flam to me.

10-15 mins to take a listener on a journey?

not much of a journey, more like a jaunt

It's obvious the only way to win this is to bang it out. Going to be interesting lol! Gonna have to do radio edits for sure.

I think they mean stick to one main genre. Tech, house, electro, trance, etc.

Correct.

Quick update -- DJ Enferno, turntablist and Madonna's tour DJ has joined our judging panel. Here is a video of him in Miami:

I've never seen someone work that many pieces of DJ gear.

Wow, he got big. I remember watching his "Shadow of a Day" live remix and thinking this guy will go places. The over all tunes are cheesy imo, but what he's doing is impressive none of the less.

Now back to your thread about the competition
