I'm sorry but I can't be excited about this...as much as I love Paul I mean going feels like it'll be either a hit or miss.

I go always wishing to hear an epic November 2005 set and I get let down...his WMC 08' set [the recorded one I didn't attend] was good but it was not remotely comparable to 11.05

he was just on FIYAH in 2005...

Hopefully Space doesn't fuck this one up.

I'm tempted to come down to Mayami for this but I just hope he doesn't play the way he did at the Terrace and Cameo. PVD @ Space main room has been 90% of the time EPIC nights.

not really... hes actually hit or miss here. hes the last remaining dj space has managed to hold onto that actually still comes down here from time to time.

heres all the times ive seen him at space...
wmc2003 - 6 hour set... epic.
wmc2004 - 5-6 hour set... not bad but the year before was way better.
wmc2005 - 4-5 hour set... spent most of the night on the terrace for sander k who rocked it way harder.
aug2005 - 3 hour set... good, but nothing special.
nov2005 - 3 hour set... best set ive ever seen by him. he was absolutely on fire. he was playing so fast and so hard i couldnt believe my ears. no one could id anything (and there were plenty of pvd whores around) for the first 2.5 hours. and there wasnt one bad track until the last 30 mins when he did pvd hour.
june2008 - 3 hour set on the terrace, which wasnt bad, but he couldnt quite get terrace vibe right.
wmc2009 - banging first hour, vocally and disappointing for the rest of the night.

thanksgiving 2004 was apparently the worst set ever. i wasnt there, but i think that was the night everyone complained about. thanksgiving 2003 was recorded and up for download and that didnt sound that special either. wmc2008 was obviously recorded and one of the better shows hes done.

like i said... its hit or miss.

He's coming to Tampa but I strongly doubt he's going to play nearly as hard as you would in Miami. Well one would think that at the very least.

no, thats pretty accurate. if you really wanna have an opportunity to see a good pvd show, space is the better venue. but if pvd actually comes through is anyones guess.

Hit-or-miss is true. I've seen all his Space shows. At the old Space he used to come every 3 months and was a hit every time IMO. Now he is inconsistent, will be great one time and then not as good (to varying extents) the next show. 2008 is a perfect example of this: he played 3 times and was great @ WMC, average on the terrace in June, and then much better in the mainroom in December. However since PVD rarely does bad twice in a row @ Space I expect a good set from him this time. (as WMC 2009 was disappointing)

well not stir things up but the terrace might not be a bad idea. it actually has fresh air and all that dam cigarette smoke in the main room sucks ass, plus they have more boxes to sit on .

i've seen a couple of morillo shows (the ones that start at midnight til when ever he is done) i know, i know different music, but i like the fact that the dj's go on at night until the morning (creates a cool vibe IMO)
