Confused Dreams

I thought i would share a dream that i had last night with all of you and that perhaps some of you would like to share your perspective on what dreams may mean/be for you in terms of their significance if there is any. where they come from? or, what they are?

basically my dream involved me walking through this school, and for some reason i was on a push bike, i had two other people with me as well, but i am not sure who they were. I was basically riding slowly through this school which, i have no idea where it was. I finally got to this point, which from what i can tell felt like i was out the back of a classroom. Anyways as i peddled around the corner i looked up towards this vine, and i knew i was looking for a bird (a pheonix) strange place - strange dream. And, when i stopped in my place it flew down to my handle bars and sat there. I then lent forward with my elbow on my handle bars so we were like face to face and i started crying thinking about how beautiful it was (but when this occurred the crying it wasnt so much the bird i was crying over but moreso, it was the nature in its essence (i.e. being something of this earth). also from this, the bird acknowledged what it was that i was feeling/seeing by its gestures which, was even weirder, and after the acknowledgment that was it, the dream was over!

The other night I dreamed I was holding a stadium of people hostage. I don't remember why I was doing it, or even whether that was explained in the dream. I'm really violent in many of my dreams. I think I might have a serial killer living inside me.

I dreamt that Myra moved to Toronto last night. I ws driving around with her in her car, and she took me to her apartment, where all these ghetto black people lived. I found that strange because it was a really nice neighbourhood. Not that black people don't live in nice hoods, but these were hardcore Jamaicans, lol...and they typically live in another part of town.

Anyway. We went into her apartment which was a loft style space, only her living/common area was open to the stairwell/hallway. She had left her laptop out and open to TA and I was like "Whoa dude, you just leave that out??" But she told me she actually just forgot in her rush.

Then we went into her apartment...which you had to enter by ladder through a trapdoor like a treehouse. She grabbed her cat when we got inside and said "Watch this!!" and threw the cat down on the ground, like it was some neat trick, lol.

And then I went into another dream.

Dreams about losing one's teeth or damaging their teeth typically symbolize some kind of stress or bad omen. Makes sense considering your anxiety disorder.

I used to have similar dreams when I had a lot of worries on my mind. Everyone I know has had the same kind of dreams.

yeah.. i heard that they symbolize insecurity/stress .. i have been getting them a lot recently.. probably cos im getting married next weekend. the worst part about them tho.. is how real they feel, and i know dreams feel real anyways.. but i can actually feel the teeth shattering in my mouth and after the teeth have shattered i spit the pieces out, and i can actually feel myself in my dream running my tongue in the gap where the tooth/teeth were and there are no teeth there

I had a really sick and disturbing dream last week, so sick that I don't even want to write about it.
And I had a dream yesterday where I woke up and thought that it would make an awesome movie or novel. It had some really great, surprising and clever punchline. Unfortunately that's all I know, because the next morning I had already forgotten it. FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I've seriously had the exact same dream many times. Not so much anymore...but back when I was near fucking up my life. Horrible dreams.

Isn't the collective subconscious grand?

I had a dream that my four little children one day lived in a nation where they were not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

how cool yeah its super weird. I can agree with the tooth ones as well ive had similar dreams where im like crushing my front teeth with my front teeth. It seems like a common theme the teeth dream.

"some of my realities becomes dreams, and some of my dreams become realities"

Who did you quote?

Posted by Silky Johnson on Sep-04-2009 19:28:

Many dream themes are common. Hence the collective unconscious theory.

Don't think I ever had a dream about teeth falling out.
Take that collective unconsciousness!!

I've had several. About half o' the dream consists of me trying my damnedest to prevent that loose tooth wiggling from my gum from falling off. But it's futile, for in the end that tooth falls out.

Somebody told me, though, that teeth dreams are good omens that presage gooooood-luck.

It was all a dream
I used to read word up magazine
Saltnpepa and heavy d up in the limousine
Hangin pictures on my wall
Every saturday rap attack, mr. magic, marley marl
I let my tape rock til my tape popped
Smokin weed and bamboo, sippin on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember rappin duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far
Now Im in the limelight cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the world trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to ron g, brucey b, kid capri
Funkmaster flex, lovebug starsky
Im blowin up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
Its all good

Uh, and if you dont know, now you know, nigga, uh

Also had a reoccurring dream when I was a younger that I'd go, by some ridiculously stupid overlook, to school naked.

Going to bed stressed out always bring out the weirdest and most fucked up dreams, it's all the chemicals in the brain stirring up. Don't worry though just concentrate on how you're going to give your future wife the fuck of her life and keep that pussy satisfied or your best man will be the next nigga in line. You a grown ass man , don't get all emotional and shit over dreams.

I have a friend who insists teeth dreams are meaningless, even though almost everyone has them at some point. We've argued extensively about it.

Never had teeth dreams, although I have had other odd things happening to my body in dreams.

Posted by adi_hanson on Sep-04-2009 22:02:

Ive had a few teeth dreams , and all happen when i know im going to get a good telling off at work.

But more seriously , when i see a spider in my room and i remove it outside , i get sleep paralysis , where you wake up but your body is asleep , its not nice at all , so i leave the spiders now and it doesnt happen.

I also sleep walk naked.

so ive been told

I used to have a lot of dreams where I would just be chilling out in some big place with lots of couches and there were a bunch of people I knew. It wasn't a normal place though cuz shit everywhere would just be crazy messed up like walls and stairs and such. I would just like chill out and talk to some girl, it wasn't always the same one but it would always be a girl. It was pretty messed up, haven't had one of those since like 2008. It wasn't scary, just weird and surreal. Yea, surreal is the perfect word.

Posted by Energy_3 on Sep-04-2009 23:39:

what about astral travel thats some weird shit! it use to happen to me alot when i was a wee bit younger. I use to end up in a fetus position curled up and just be spinning around in darkness.

I also use to have these flying dreams where i would be hovering just above the ground, and i was like semi-awake when this occurred and I use to get the most bizarre feeling across my chest when this happened. I was so aware of this happening and if i wanted to continue with it more, it would freak me out, and I would chicken out of it.

@ Adi_hanson how weird is sleep walking i havent personally but know of people that do, and perform some of the strangest tasks whilst asleep.

cleary unconscious motives there taking place.
