All the regulars - how much of your life is spent here?

So I log in once, maybe twice a day. I go to the DJ Booth, check out what's new, then come in here to see if anyone's posted a funny youtube link or something. Maybe once a month I might post something in the COR. This is one of those times.

But what really amazes me, there are the regulars, Slylee, Jenny, Tubular Bills and all the rest....... you guys seem to post so much, that when one of you is away for more than a few hours, the others start to get worried...... How much of your lives do you spend in here? It must be a fuck load.

Serious question: how many of your waking hours is spent reading and posting in the COR?

PS This post was prompted by Slylee's posting about Julia Roberts, and the rest of the followers posting what she'd ordered them to post. You sad sad people.

I read "how many of your wanking hours is spend reading and posting in the COR?"

And it depends on the day really. Before I was in school I'd spend a lot of time here. When I do have school (Tuesdays and Thursdays) I probably won't get on TA because I'm at school most of the day and when I get home I'm tired and go to sleep. Usually it's a couple hours a day.

I don't consider you a regular. I've never heard of you.

Posted by Vivid Boy on Sep-05-2009 11:18:

Ok on a serious note most of the time max an hour or not at all. But I would say once a week ill sit my ass down and not move and go on a posting binge for about 2-3 hrs. It all depends though becaus usually that 1 hour a day is a combined total of checking posts and making 1 reply

Yeah, I tend to not hang out where I'm not well liked, too.

Generally.

Whenever I'm at work. Which seems to be most of the time lately.

Most of the time I'm at my computer, I keep a tab open so I can switch to it while other stuff is loading (I have slow internets).

Posted by Zild on Sep-05-2009 12:48:

Not as much as I should. They actually make me do work and shit now.

You actually do work? You must not have a union.

In my eyes this equals a win for both of us.

Well done.

Far too much. Sometimes I think I need to try this again:

For the love of ______, please don't do that. You can learn moderation. You don't have to be so extreme. I consider you a good poster.

Complete cutting off of the internet is irrational, don't you think? I had the same problems too, I decided to start using the internet differently and I've been thinking about how to eliminate procrastination / excessive use in my life. Msg me if you want my perspective (not my advice, instructions, or diagnosis... just my perspective, do what you want with it.)

LOL, no I can't. Trust me, I have been trying for years.

Posted by Akridrot on Sep-05-2009 16:05:

So have I. Read my edited post...

Have you ever heard of Getting Things Done?

Trust me... just because something has been going on for a long time, it doesn't mean that it can never change. /cliche

I've thought of setting aside just one day per week for net use. I think that might have a chance of working.

I can't do a set number of hours in each day, though. That never works, I always go over.

Posted by Zild on Sep-05-2009 16:11:

My problem is all of my work, school, hobbies save a few involve sitting in front of a computer.
