i was reading the main thread on the music discusion section
both sides of the story are deff very sketchy i dont really belive anyones word over the other
but atb and pvd have had a problem in the past, and both are known for haveing some sort of diva attitudes
^^^ What is the back story on that? I saw there was an article posted in the other thread, but I cant read German.
thats some fucking bs. i read the whole thing atb is just tryin to put it all on paul and pvd is no where directly involved in the incident.
but the good part is this fucking ch0p

When you see it, you will shit bricks
hahah omg at that pic
Reading the article, it does seem like Paul Van Dyk is very much involved. Asking ATB to help better the festival by going from 9-11 is a bullshit way of saying "Paul Van Dyk doesn't want to have to see you when he goes on stage." It's like the promoters are covering theirs and Paul's asses because it was probably something they were asked to make sure of earlier on, and forgot.
Man, what the FUCK happened to trance?
Its not what happened to Trance, it what happened to PVD? put your fucking ego away? Last time I checked PVD wasnt close to being # 1 at all... Andre was shafted in this deal! If both DJ's were under contract, then they both have a job to do bottom line... So the promoter should have said Fuck you Paul, Andre plays and if you dont like it we wont book you again!

| Originally posted by snatonsb I really agree with what you wrote but everyone should not jump the gun and blame PVD. ATB is rude and obnoxious from when I met him before and I wouldn't believe a thing he says. Planet Love already issued a statement. Everyone just wants to blame and put hate on PVD. Okay we get the point he is too big and has gone mainstream but hell the money is there so why not. Don't act like you guys wouldn't do the same if you were in his shoes. |

Not an ATB fan and can't say I blame Paul. I've heard of DJs like Sasha has to approve who opens for him. Paul has been a diva for awhile now so wouldn't surprise me.

| Originally posted by DJ Eco It is about the bigger picture of trance though, unfortunately... The same thing happened with Deadmau5 and Marcus Schossow, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a correlation with Electric Zoo having Armin and ATB, and Paul Van Dyk playing Central Park (WITHOUT Made Event) a week earlier. It used to be only Danny Tenaglia who did stuff like this (but we expected it, so it was funny), but the amount of beef and drama (whether out in the open, or behind the scenes) is so widespread nowadays... |
In regards to this story... I've never heard about PVD being rude to his fans. Distant, may be but rude, no. However, I have heard stories from friends in which ATB has been down right disrespectful to fans.
From the comments in the thread it seems that wasn't the case at EZ, he was rather warm and friendly. DJ's have moods just like everybody else, is that a big surprise? After reading this in its entirety honestly it sounds like bullshit and I don't beleive either side completely.
^^^ That star wars pic is boss!
It's a shame when a good music scene becomes saturated with people's egos and personal drama, especially since ALL of their careers (PvD, ATB, AvB, Tijs etc..) started out from what I imagine was a pure love of music and making others happy through an expression of their creativity. People end up becoming very different beasts than they were when they first start out in the industry.
I hope down the road we don't end up hearing about one of our own TA DJ's acting in the same manner towards another artist.
