Overall one of my best trips to vegas yet. Vegas was busy this weekend. Plenty of people from all over but not to the point where it got in the way of having a good time. There was a surprising amount of electronica all over Vegas this weekend not just at Fabulous...even body english had a DJ dropping mashups and house tracks on Saturday night. Sunday was the best day by far though. Pool party at the Palms was going off in the afternoon, soo many beautiful women Carl Cox killed it and then it was off to continue drinking and get ready for Rain that night. DJ Reza had a surprisingly good set, lots of good house that kept the floor moving. Steve Angello came on next which was a surprise, thought he was supposed to be by the pool that night but a good surprise nonetheless. Awesome set by him as usual and then kind of a funky switch over to Markus Schulz at 3 who was by far my favorite set of the night. People were definitely dancing more to electronica than I'm used to seeing in vegas, though most of them were still out of Rain by 4 a.m....just meant more room to dance for Markus' set haha lots of fun, hope to see another festival like that over a holiday weekend soon!

agreed agreed, I stayed at the Palms and hit up the same parties you did. It was an amazing time and I cant say enough about the beautiful women at the pool party. Great time...so sad to have to leave.

I third that and have to add the party @ Wet Republic on Monday with Chris Lake was pretty amazing too with lots of beautiful women.

Jordan Stevens' set and Real El Canario's sets on Sunday were some of the best I heard at the Palms Pool. Manufactured Superstars played some really good tunes with some cheese thrown in between. Reza killed it and Scotty Boy played a good set inside Rain as well on Sunday night. Felix the Housecat was rocking it outside at the pool. Angello's set was pretty good. Markus Schulz not so much.

I missed out! Probably the first Labor Day in 5 years where I wasn't in Vegas

Oct 10th isn't a bad weekend to go. You got Armin Van Buuren Saturday night and Roger Sanchez @ Wet Republic on Sunday.

Reza's set was bananas. It was great. No disrespect to Markus, I just wasn't feeling his set. The sound was really thin and not as full as the rest of the djs that played that night. The crowd started to thin as well. When you have Reza and Steve Angello playing some of the best house music on the planet with thick, body bumpin' bass, girls gyrating their hips everywhere, guys with their fists in the air, and then have a trance act come on afterwards with a thin sound, it just doesn't work. The whole weekend the crowd was much more into house rather than trance. I've been watching Reza spin over the years for a long time now. He just keeps on getting better and better. His tracks were amazing and just the kind of music I love

Farina was a great night and I thought Cox's set was the best pool set by far. I slept through Sunday night (ooops) but, heard Kaskade was great last night!

I thought everyone threw down an amazing set except for Felix da Housecat at the poolside. For me, Markus was the highlight of the nite at Fabulous. When Steve Angello was killing it and everyone was going insane i thought no way markus could top that but i was completely wrong. Markus came on and brought the energy to another level. This was far from the usual prog trance he plays with fluffy vocal tracks here and there; it was banging all the way from start to finish. I know there were less people when markus came on, but the crowd always thin out around 3-4am at Rain regardless of who's playing. The people that stayed till the end are true electronica fans and i'm pretty sure got there money worth.

I wanted to hear and see Cox spin, but I was a little worn out from the rest of the day and the night before. I think I could hear the bass from my hotel room

I have to give credit where credit is due. Reza rocked it. I've seen Cox plenty of times. Carl Cox's best set - Groove Radio parking lot 1997. There is a time and place for everything. Listening to Carl this past weekend wasn't on the list.

Erick Morillo was pretty freaking awesome. left at 815 and he was still banging it hard... i think he went until 10am!

didn't see it happen but supposedly some guy tried to tackle Erick in the booth!

Carl Cox was pretty good as well as Mark Farina.

a bit more of a chill holiday weekend that i usually do out there which was nice...
