ableton live 8 midi questions

Okay to make a long story really short. I bought Ableton Live 8 just last night. I installed everything but now, I load up a midi track but there is no audio either on session or arrangement view. What do I need to enable order to hear these clips?

have you selected an synth or sample into the midi chanel?

if you cant see your VST's if you have any you have to goto preferences and select the folder where you keep your vst's.

neither works. I can see the volume meter. But no sounds.

is there sound without midi ie have you got sound working as normall first if no then go through the prefrences option.

first select ad midi to chanel then go to vst pick the one you want and drag it over to the midi chanel press play and go to piano roll and select draw mode and draw in the shit you want.
