Like every story I post, this one is going against my better judgment.

So there I was watching Dave Chappelle and drinking wild turkey 101. Right as I was throwing back another double shot, I busted out laughing at....whatever the hell made laugh. Problem is, over half the shot went down the windpipe and into the lungs. I've done this with water and sodas...but never liquor. What came next was scary.

I went into an extreme coughing fit, my eyes and nose running, and then the next second I was unable to breathe. I was coughing out all the air in my lungs, but my windpipe tightened up and wouldn't allow me to inhale ANY air. I tried hitting my chest with my fist, stretching my arms up, everything. For 2 or 3 minutes I strained to inhale and could not breathe. Then came the dizziness and lightheadedness, my vision faded and my legs gave out from under me. My cell phone's battery was dead, but calling 911 would have been useless as I couldn't speak (no air in my lungs). I panicked and thrashed about trying anything to cause my windpipe to open back up. I serious thought I was dead.

As my luck would have it, I started breathing again and saw that my lips had turned blue. I've never felt my lungs burn like that and today at work I felt a shortness of breath of damn day. I swear.....I've been drinking for 12 damn years. I've gotten alcohol poisoning from drinking entire 5ths, but not until now, have I ever had one lousy fucking shot nearly kill my ass. Good grief..

Lesson learned... don't laugh at shit when you're drinking straight liquor.

Had some pretty hot salsa do that yesterday brought me to tears in the restaurant and couldn't talk....can't imagine wild turkey. Sounds like a damn scary moment
