just because people are still there doesnt mean they have to stay open.
would you expect a restaurant to stay open past their closing time just because you wanted to stay?

what time did his set end up finishing?

Posted by Fuscus on Sep-13-2009 08:58:

I came to Guv only for the sunrise set and couldn't believe it ended so early (7:15 with NO encores). One of the bouncers said it was due to the complaints from the island people. Everyone was still dancing and loving it when it ended, so it was a major bummer

I left at 7 and am kinda glad to hear I didn't miss much

did he end it with "The Music Sounds Better With You"?

Nope. Billie Jean beat with Al Sharpton's MJ funeral speech on top.

I don't know... I guess I'm getting too old, but isn't partying from 10pm to 7-8am enough? Shit go home. You can see that on average the majority of the crowd is pretty much spent at those early hours.

Well, it was the earliest end for an all-access Skybar set. I drove straight from a party in Hamilton at 5 am so I didn't drink/consume anything, thinking I could at least catch 2-3 hrs of Skybar action. Greased the bouncer for nothing to come up cuz all I got was 15 min. But at least I won a bet with my friends who said I'd never make it. And BTW, the crowd was still wanting more, judging by everyone I talked to. I just couldn't bring myself to go back to the main room after Skybar. Felt like a dungeon.

Posted by gummybear on Sep-15-2009 18:30:

who cares..sunrise sets are scary.....people have no energy and for the most part look like they're a snort away from od'ing...not a good site..

Posted by VDub on Sep-15-2009 18:37:

There are also lots of extra expenses involved in staying open later than planned for....

Not to mention the staff who have been there since 2 hrs before opening and are destroyed from exhaustion...

Posted by Fuscus on Sep-15-2009 18:39:

Have you seen what the people in the Main room look like at 8 am ?! I'd take Skybar any day over that crowd.
