Mayor David Miller's approval rating at 29 per cent, according to new poll

A new Ipsos Reid poll has found Mayor David Miller's approval rating has plummetted.
Almost 80 per cent of Toronto residents have said it's time to choose a new mayor, while 21 per cent have said he deserves to be re-elected.
Miller's approval rate is at the lowest level of any mayor in the ten major Canadian cities surveyed.
The survey conducted for Global Television and The National Post also finds that just 25 per cent of Toronto residents believe Miller is a great leader.
"First of all polls are polls, a snapshot in time and I think this summer was a very difficult one for Toronto, that poll was taken just after the strike, a strike that was unnecessary," Miller said.
The survey was conducted between August 14 and 18, shortly after the city trash strike ended.

I can tell you that for all his faults, Mel would never have permitted some of the shit like the garbage strike or the Tamil Tiger "demonstration" to go on as long as they did. Very few mayors other than Miller would. |

You're +1 in my books.
LOL @ this thread!
ALeks B: You should care about municipal politics if you care about how your money is spent. Because when these losers decide to raid your pockets, the only power you have to stop them is by voting for someone else. And miller is very good at taking people's money and even better at wasting it.
Tell me why miller is better than lastman? Because someone told you so? What was so bad about lastman anyways? Here was a guy who was passionate about his city and was over the top. Which i guess is rare in toronto and somehow "offensive". But anyways.
I hope there is better competition than Smitherman against Miller. Thats like like a choice between pig shit and dog shit. I dont know which one im scared of more to be honest!

SO you bribe council then? How does this work exactly?
You can vote for businesses with your money by not shopping there. But there is only one way you can *legally* vote for government. Although with these cronies i wouldnt be surprised.
