invulnerable to terrorists?

you americans are funny, are you so daft enough to think the terrorists will attack them same target twice? so you spend n-billion dollars on creating anti-terrorism propaganda, yet you will all hail down to it because its "one over the bad guys" when infact its a large and inefficient piece of propaganda, i just hope some of you can see this, and not be blinded.

next hails the anti osama space laser, its costs trillions, doesnt do anything, but it can be used to destroy terrorist from space apprently!

Sorry dude, didn't see it b4.

I doubt it will be built just because buildings of that size are not cost effective. In the old wtc almost a third of it was used for structural support etc, having many smaller buildings is much better than 2 huge ones.

Rebuilding the towers is a nice idea, but to me, rebuilding the towers is just asking for it...

Posted by horseplay on Jun-30-2002 22:51:

As an architect I think the concepts are cool... sustainable design, mixed-use development, hi-tech materials and systems, memorial, etc. However, like Nadi mentioned, if built, this will be the most expensive skyscraper ever = inefficient design. I just hope they learned a lesson and fireproof the floor joists this time.

that looks reallly sweet

It is expected that the World's finest department stores, variety stores and specialist boutiques will create the "Eighth Wonder" of retailing for the world's shoppers to enjoy.

Why are the people that are in power in the U.S. so goddamn stupid? Hasn't their inept government already wasted enough money on the "War On Terrorism (TM)"????? Bombing Afghanistan back into the stone-age accomplished nothing except to further piss off all the people in the world who are determined to bring down the Evil Empire (a.k.a. united states), and it seems like the country is just begging to be hit by another attack. Keep in mind who actually started this "war" that the government is fighting.... if it weren't for the U.S.'s ridiculously oppressive foreign policy, there wouldn't have been anyone pissed off enough to fly an airplane into a building in the first place.

Predictably, the U.S. is getting into a dick-measuring contest with the world instead of confronting the real issues that are causing all the hype. Typical... treat the symptoms, not the cause. Wasting money on a ridiculous group of buildings like this is going to accomplish nothing. Yay, they have a trillion-dollar memorial to the attack... whoop de fucking doo. If they'd spend the money properly, they might actually be able to avoid the next wave of pissed-off people looking for revenge. I'll bet any money that even a flawlessly designed WTC-II (or whatever) and all this super-tight airport security won't accomplish anything. If people want to ruin the united states (which they defintely DO), they'll find a way.

-divell <-- leaving lurk-mode to rant his ass off
